- More organized registration structure.
- Less delay.

- Projector screen or/and house speaker at Main Stage need to bring forward, so that it will not disturb the players on stage.
- and, yes, better commentator plz...we can't barely hear her and we dun really understand what she's saying. (no offence ah...) laugh.gif

Well , just improve the registration method next year o.O . thats for qualifier . And that hot chicks giving freebies are good , but they are REALLY SLOW!!!! Some marshal says we have to wear the T shirt in order to enter so my team just rushed out to the eswc station and end up waiting there until we were late for our matches which was supposed to start 15 minutes ago . Then we end up seeing our opponents not wearing them .

1. Registration should be made through reservation online only unless there is 32/64-> no limited slot .
2. Announcement should be made at least 30 minutes before not right when the matches are gonna start and you announce it .
3. The Marshal that is responsible for setting up matches should talk on stage not right in the middle of the crowd where by the contestants hardly able to see him , considering he wears the same T shirts that most of the contestants are wearing and makes him stand out is the MIC which is hardly noticeable .
4. Don't use steel series mouse , they are uber hard to grab . xD <-- you can ignore this .

added with some of the points made by Chapree and I guess it would be a greater event next year @@. Considering that Marshals this year seems to be more "pro" than last year's eswc . That deserve some credit as well biggrin.gif .

Oh, I forgot to add this.
As for marshaling + tournament management, it can't get any better than combination of Douglas, Ben, Nles and their whole team members. Kudos to that. rclxms.gif

Also, thanks to Go International Group for providing support to media members, especially prizes for Multiplay readers. It was quite a lot till we still got few more to give away soon (hint!) rclxm9.gif

the event definitely a lot of flaw in the management side..

the prize giving ceremony was more like "Just Do It" where else it was suppose to be the time where the winners can bask in their glory and can be proud off. So definitely it shld b plan nicely with no delays and interruption and with a proper set.

And as for the screen for viewers, it can b place in a better way bcoz those who play on stage can actually watch the game thru the screen. Plus there is no restriction between the players on stage and the viewers down below. So people can actually just go and tell to the onstage players whts going on the other side.

Although it is the 1st time but it is no excuse because ESWC is an international event. So i hope next year it would be better and all my critics are just constructive critics. No hard feelings yea ^^

And please...

test out the commentators ability 1st.. dont just choose just bcoz can speak english...

Hmm.. The only thing I wanna comment is about the lack of seats for spectators.. A wider area with more seats next time would be appreciated. ^^

I think, the event was a sucessful one. Good job on that. For my personal opinion, It can be better if more freebies and side-games was held to attract more people to join and make things merrier.

Overall, the marshalls was very helpful with the replays and even our enquiry.

About the commentator, It's hard to find a girl who can really talk about DotA that well. So, I think she did a great job.

needs more spectator PCs and area for people to sit and view. then, the booths around the area look very pasar malam like... not proper.

there wasnt much space for the people to walk around the arena as well.

next time, it best be in a convention hall. i realise that tournament in malls tend to be too noisy and distracting.

got demos ?

anyway, it looked like cs was left at the side and more effort was put into the dota. i guess its understandable, since dota was your main game.

tables for the TWO cs islands looked bad. come on, is it that hard to get better tables n arrangement for two islands..

some stuff you guys could work on in the future; maybe an online update @ the site. the brackets and scores maybe. or you could go into detail for each game like what multiplay did.. but, i think the bracket n score updates are more then enough.

edit : also, im curious. i saw people going around taking videos of the matches. are you planning to release like a video of the event to the public ? if so, where/when can we see it ? =)

Well, we do have consoles games. Just that we couldn't fit everything in that area. hopefully next year we can get a wider area.

The projector screen was a last minute addon, we got counter measure for preventing player on stage viewing the projection anyway. Well, I think in any other tournament also, ppl can just shout under the stage and tell what's happening.

Anyway I must salute on the bravery of GO International Group in taking up such a huge event where they hasn't done or see any gaming event before. 90% non-gamers xD

CS tables are actually better than the DotA ones. It's bad because it's uneven? or what?

I can't be putting all games in front right >_<

Tables for CS island is actually beter than the ones for DotA, in fact I was suppose to use the same table for DotA. It's the same setup for for DotA and CS island, it's only dota island surface is not that nice so need table cloth on it tongue.gif

QUOTE(sniperz @ Jul 8 2008, 11:11 PM)
yea the best thing any tourneys can do is.

an online bracket made freely with a person updating it.

so makes it like livescore.com for footballs.

No internet conection oh EHhEHee

Thanks for everyones comment, and I hope it doesn't end here.
