Even though I'm still new to this thread and collecting HWs, but seeing the progress of this thread, well... all I can say is WOW!!! V8... Keep it up guys.
Anyone knows where I cld get my hands on these 2 cars? Preferably 1:64.
1) 1967 Chevy Impala
2) 1966 Chrysler Crown Imperial

Never missed reading the thread every day. Love the excitement created on this thread. As mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm a Newbie to collecting HW. Becos I'm a comic collector, I'd buy a comic related HW. So, I have most of the Batmobile found in the country. Tempted to buy from Ebay but I was conned once (bought an NBA card for USD240; money was sent but the card never came).
Anyway, I was introduced to TH by a fellow friend whom is an avid HW collector. Now I kinda like buying just HW THunts. Now I have 10 Jaded (1 booked by Sinclair) & 10 Chrysler (2 Super Thunt Chryslers). Got the cars from all over the place but I got 9 Jaded & 1 Chrysler from Tesco S.Alam. It was during 'buy-2-get-1-free' offer. They just dump everything onto one spot and I had to scrouge thru them. I was lucky I'd guess. Was there earlier than the other guys whom frequently visit these hunting area in S. Alam. Then found 1 Chrysler at Cold Storage, 1 at 7E and the rest I think from Giant. If any of you guys want to sell or trade your Thunts, please PM me.
BTW, saw a Black Audi V8 (I think it's a V8) at 7E near my place. If anyone is intrested, I cld buy & pass it to any intrested party this Sunday (give me an excuse to join you guys there).

Another thing, I was made to understand by experts in US of A that the odds of getting regular THunt is 1:100 and Super Thunt is 1:1000.

The NBA bid was done sometime in the late 90s. I had to pay by bank draft or something. Anyway, my Batmoble collection is not as many cos there's not much to collect. But I'll post it soonest. As for the odds of getting TH & TH$ was given to me by one of the guys from HotWheelsCollectors.com and according to them, they got it from a source from Mattel.
I think it's the thrill of hunting TH that drives me to most malls & hypermarkets every weekend. Getting my friends & brothers to join the hunt, searching for TH whenever they r at any of the malls etc. But alas, with good timing and plenty of luck, u'll eventually find one. For those whom have not found one on the racks yet, don't give up hope. U'll find one eventually.

Just saw Exotics series Enzo Ferrari (Blue), Lotus Esprit (Yellow) & Zotic (White) at one shop and from 2004 series Humvee Scraphead (2). The card (Humvee) is a little bit worn out on the sides but the Humvee is still in tact. If u guys want me to buy them or wld want to go on your own, I'll tell you where tomoro. For now I'm off to watch 10.15pm Batman The Dark Knight.

The Exotics series are at Parkson Selayang Mall & the Humvees are at Pasaraya Bintang (Toys section), Summit Selayang. Can't snap any photos cos don't hav my camera with me. Wonder when r they coming out with the new vehicles from the latest Bat movie.

BTW, Blueye, I'm not sure if there are any Mustangs there. Sorry.

Anyone have a loose Animated Batmobile (just like Blueye's avatar) for sale? I want to buy one. I have all the 4 carded versions. If u hav the animated Batmobile from the Mystery cars for sale even better.

Yes dinie, what ipodluvya said is true. Start with the 1966 TV Batmobile. They are still in the market if u look hard enough. 1966 TV Batmobile is a must-have to all HW collectors. U know why, this is the 1st Batmobile that was done to scale. This is the one and only, officially licensed model of the original 1966 Batmobile™ featured in the TV series.
The ones before this was not done to scale. It's what they called "eye-balling". U look at the pics & u agak then produce them with permission from DC comics or rather Warner Bros. DC Comics owns the Batman character in comics, Warner Bros owns it's movie rights and the 1966 TV series Batmobile owns by George Barris. This is the 1st time all 3 parties managed to agree with Mattel, allowing Mattel to produce this Official 1966 TV Series Batmobile. For an undisclosed sum of course. So, to those who doesn't have one yet, go out there and get one. Keep them. 10 years down the line, who knows....

Yeap, u shld be playing with it if hav extra. I've ripped 1 & pretended to be Batman everynow & then. When they 1st announced the released date (Feb '07) for 1966 Batmobile, I went to all the places I know to hunt for it. And now I hav 30 ofthem at home . Was proud of it until suddenly I saw the 1966 Batmobile every where . Aarrrrghh.... But now it's begining to deminish....

Was there at the right time I'd guess. At 1st I thought 2 GT THs but then I realised the colours is different.
And yes humaizyharmy, the HW angels musta hav been watching over my shoulders...

Talked to one of the 7E supervisor & he said that once all the HWs are gone that's it. No more new boxes of HWs for all the 7Es & the offer is valid til "Merdeka". If this is true, then, yes, it's only Viper wave at your friendly 7Es
