do you know any strings with gauge 11-56 or the like? i like really thick wound strings for the 3 lower strings

DR alexi is tite fit 11-50... the bottom strings too thin for me, i like them real heavy, thats why im looking for 11-56 or 12-60 or something

11-70 is a bit too thick, 11-60 is still ok haha

box of strings are definitely cheaper. bentley sells them but im not sure if they give you the entire box, they might just give you 10 packs and charge you rm165 or something.

have you tried fast fret?

just play the octaves with your first finger on the root note and pinky on the octave, using your first finger to mute the 4th string... for the notes being on the same fret you can either barre it if you're plucking the notes or change your finger positioning if you're using a pick

has anyone tried the ltd v-200? any comments?

just picked up my amplug(metal) today, and i have to say the gain is over the top even for a gain freak like me

ok so im finally getting a new guitar to down tune to D
thing is, im currently using d addario 10-52 for standard tuning/drop D tuning and i want roughly the same feel of the strings when i downtune to D/drop C.
anybody knows what gauge would come closest to that? i think 11-56 would be great but those aren't common at all so its either 11-52 or 12-54
never tried 12's on a drop tuned guitar before, so i have no idea if it would be hard to bend or not. need some otai help here :bow:

got back from singapore yesterday, didn't have time to go swee lee but got my wings from davis just needs better pickups and a proper setup now...

yup im gonna get some pinstrip decals on them and slap in an EMG81 will work part time to get the money this holidays

i find the alexi 200's fretboard a bit wider than my ax-50 so the strings are a bit further apart. surprisingly comfortable to play standing up and sitting down(huge thumbs up) but the pickup definitely needs a change. will probably get a used EMG81, haven't heard the blackout in person yet

and it was $800 from davis. was hoping for 500-600
