Yes but limited choices for rims and tires  . Eg Volk TE37 from Japan or Kosei K1 TS , US rims . K1 TS is consider light at 9lbs . Tire choices , no idea , guess it depends on your tire size but there's performance tires for 14" eg Falken Azenis 615 in 195/60/14 or Bridgestone Potenza RE92 in 175/65/14 . Some have to get from SG by driving down to fix it there since malaysia dont carry the size . Do note , it's been a while since i drove a 14" so the tire choice might be replaced with a newer model

Still the best option is 15" , much wider choices for both tires and rims

Thanks for the info ya. For your info the car i am currently driving is honda city idsi. current wheel is the stock 14 inch wheels.

Friend said if i upsize to 15 inch i can get better perfomance and better fuel consumption (Is it actually true since need more power to rotate the wheels?)

Depends on whether the rims are cast, flow form or forged. Cast being the most heavy but forged is the costliest. Most aftermarket rims are flow form now.

Do remember not to purchase imitation rims. If you want rims that does not cost a bomb I suggest to get rims that are made by legit companies like Advanti or Konig. AOW is quite good too but most of their designs are copy cats tho.  whistling.gif

If not you can try our Malaysian brand Raxer!  flex.gif

Speaking of this, i find that choices for proton 15/16 inch 4 x 114.3 wheels is very limited.

I only able to find various copies wheel of famous brand and the closest one legit brand I can find is Advanti DST Storm as well as other model by Advanti.

If I am not mistaken Raxer wheel also have wheels in that specification too as well as 16 inch Enkei RPF1 which i dont think its suitable for daily driving

I not sure how their non DST (flow formed) model perform.

Specifically I am looking at S850 which look identical to proton R3 wheel which I believed Advanti was the OEM for them last time

I asked DRC wheel before for Forged 16 inch which roughly around 6K and few month wait time. To be frank I not sure if forged wheel will make any big difference performance wise vs regular cast wheel.

a good forged wheel is lighter and stronger than flow form, but the price is costly, lighter wheel is always better in performance because of lighter unsprung weight

if you are just for daily drive and not going to join any motorsport like gymkhana or track, then a cast wheel with your preferred design will do, but personally when i choose aftermarket rims i will go for at least flow form rim

Thanks for the reply. brows.gif currently looking around for 4 x 114.3 15 inch wheels but the choice is not much as opposed to 4x100 ones.

Only brand that I saw selling flow form wheels for that configuration/size is advanti but it seems like they dont come with gunmetal and only matte black or standard silver shocking.gif

when changing to sport rim what people generally do with their original rim ? do the shop usually take them off your hand or people generally take them back and keep ?

I also did the same even if it is proton.

Why would I wanted to give them opportunity to resell at a profit.

Between the 4x114.3 wheels in 15 and 16 inch flow formed wheel like Advanti Storm S1 and Raxer RP10x?

Yet to decide which size to go to as stock is at 16 inch.

If i were to choose either, here the tire size that I plan to run with
For 15 i plan to run 195/55/R15
For 16 I plan to 195/50/R16 which is what I am running now moving up from stock 185/55 (not planning to run 205/50 which is equal ratio to stock as it will make my car slower)

Which one would fit better iriz since without causing fender rub as they have different offset between 15/16 (eg S1 and RP10x in 15 is+35 while for 16 S1 came in+38 or +40 I not sure and +42 for 16 inch RP10X). Would love something in bronze but the market seems to prefer darker colour which I dont really like.

Other suggestion are welcome too, otherwise worse case I just get stock proton 15 inch wheel.

offset between 35 40 still ok one.
rim with how much jj
*
Stock wheel is 6.5jj which came in 185/55R16 but i upsize to 195/50R16 as performance tires only come in this size

Both of raxer and advanti jj value was like 7.0

If raxer 15 inch wheel come with 7.5 jj

QUOTE(ktek @ Jan 22 2023, 07:19 PM)
make sure d center bore fit yaa.
i baru kena mismatch hole size. need to diy cut using wood router n specific size bit with custom bearing

as no shop willing to settle for me. went to friends milling, rim repair specialist
*
Hmm i think both advanti and raxer should fit without much drama?

I actually looked onto putting spacer on my stock wheel to push outward but somehow there more than just about centre bore.

Asked h&r about one spacer which i think may fit my car but was told that spacer was specifically made for honda car as he pointed out some subtile difference in it

noob question, do you mean this bolt as per circled may be too short if I were to fit a 7.0JJ/7.5JJ wheels?

No lah, its just a simple mod to push the stock wheel slightly outer since it was quite inside.

The stock 16inch wheel design was not bad looking to be honest for me, just that the offset is a little too inside for my taste hence if I am considering the spacer option plus my understanding making the wheels outward would help abit on handling side too?

Manatau wanna buy spacer (just a simple slip on 5mm spacer) actually more things to consider other than just knowing what is the center bore diameter.

Also, I not sure if there any decent spacer maker locally who can build one that can withstand my rempit (since many article suggested that spacer was actually bad for suspension), that why I am looking at H&R spacer option but they seems like not making one specifically for proton cars

Plus weight wise i assumed it would be quite heavy.

Kinda suck that 3rd party wheels only come in either matt black or gun metal unless I go for custom wheel route which I am not prepare to spend it.

deduct the spacer thickness lo.
spacer punya center bore quite universal 73mm shall be clear no issue

Hmm, can consider but the minimum spacer length is 5mm, does anyone can do lesser than that?
