got a question, if the standard rim (OEM) rim's offset is +40, how much low and how much high offset I can choose for? The car is Kelisa.

ConquerorX, the rim is labelled as drifter rims because the rim has lips or the spokes are fixed to the lips more to inside of the rim well. Also, if the rims has low positive offset (or negative offset) is also considered as drifters rims well, isn't exactly drifter rims, more of like RWD cars rims.

for example,

white color car, wat color rim look better ? anyone driving forte here ?? how is the stock rim performance ?? easy bengkok a ??

white can go along with all kind of colors.

if you are brave and smuggy type, I'd suggest very flashy colors like Orange, Red, or Green. (Volk TE37 or SSR Type C)

if you are more likely to be the cool side and play low and discreet, take black or dark grey rims and choose something that has multi-spokes like SSR Type F, or BBS CH or HRE P40.

bengkok or not is subjective. If you are the silly type of driver who always ride road humps and potholes like they arent there, then possiblity of you damage your rims are high.

One tip, use 60 and above series tyres to preserve your rims. But its gonna look ugly.

I traded in my Vios J original steel cap for RM700 (Quite a high trade in price) after driving for 1+ month. Top up a total of RM2000 (whole set). Price inclusive of alignment, balancing, racing nuts, camper nuts and washers (the piece of metal where they place in between the rims, was told my reduced noise and stabilize the ride).  hmm.gif

*
camper nuts = camber nuts *this is a one time only. Next time go alignment no need to change to a new one if the tyreman insist*

washers = spacers

spacers do nothing else except to push your rim further out prevent from the inner rim lip knocking your absorber/spring seat.

Mostly cuz of styling.

I probably can afford norman 17inch tyres just not the high end ones. Ill stay clear of china brands and prolly go for hankook or falken etc.

Will i lose a lot of comfort ? Should i go for 16" ?

About the lowered springs question ..
*
17 abit killing on fuel consumption.

16 & 17 tyres are more or less the same price, so people tend to go for 17 but, it will affect the fuel consumption since the rim and tyre is bigger than standard item.

comfort nothing beats standard.
