My power button seem to have fell in and the phone had been constantly resetting as though i was pressing the button.

Any suggestion on how to fix this in malaysia?

if i can remember correctly, there are 2 tiny screws holding the power button in place. hence provided the screw has not broken or the the thread has given way, a simple maneuver by tightening the screw will probably do the trick.

unfortunately, to do that, you will have to pry open the aluminium back casing. however despite being very gentle and careful, stress line marks are very likely to occur.

lets say if the foreign bought an iphone in US...then he go to visit malaysia...suddenly his phone got problem, if he need to repair he need to go back to US to fix? there is no international warranty for this?

if thats true...mac sux
*
that is a deviated opinion i am afraid. if you do own an apple product (minus iphone), you will observe that apple has one of the best warranty procedure and customer services. they are international and they fix your problems (most of the time) with no questions asked even though later investigations prove that its essential your fault.

and in reference to your above statement, mac is just an apple product. hence how is "mac" related to this context; the iphone?

it is only fair that they limit to the country of origin as telecommunication providers usually handle all these warranty claims (applicable to other brands or makes). typically (taking UK as a base example), the warranty of the phone given by the provider is usually the same length as your contract agreement. hence if your contract is 18 months for instance and your unit is faulty, they will fix or replace it for your FOC.

and with further research online, one will come to learn that apple will usually provide with another replacement iphone whilst they try to rectify it. and if they cannot fix it, a brand new iphone will be delivered to your doorstep (or collection from the telecommunication provider store or apple store).

There's a difference between the taking in of a iPhone purchased normally, and also the taking in of an iPhone that had been unlocked. Keep in mind that unlocking the iPhone effectively voids the warrranty.

oh yes, that too as well. thanks for reinforcing my statement.

and all these question raises another question.

When will Malaysia carrier start negotiating with apple for iPhone?
*
speculations and more speculations.

im happy using this "method" of obtaining an iphone because i'm very sure that i'll not sign on a crazy amount of tariff agreement.
