when the price drops to 800,and mobo go to 800
surely...people will bargain until it sold out..
but for now...let stick to core 2 duo..even its hardly to see people optimize for core2quad other than q6600

I'll wait for more mainstream mobo and i7 to come out next year. If i were to upgrade. If not, wait for 32nm huhuhu... icon_idea.gif I'm still using E6600 btw. laugh.gif

well, actually the question is it worth for changing core i7?
since intel going to change soc agian for the lynnfield next year...
and motherboard are not compatible,
it is just like using AMD x2 soc 939 for few months then change to AM2 soc =.=

bloomfield and lynnfield are basically the same family (ie Nehalem)

except that Socket 1366 is for enthusiast and hardcore market, while Socket 1160 is for mainstream and value market

these 2 sockets will stay for quite some time before Intel decides to change again

so ask urself who are u (enthusiast or mainstream user) before forking out the money
