Your best bet if you want to pick up a board, should be the UD5.

Eclipse ain't cheap, Rampage is pure gila.

So far it looks like even with the i7 920, any setup will cost upwards of 3k for just the proc, RAM and mobo. Pricey rig, to say the least. Hopefully the price for the yorkies will drop.

Very impressive results for 'cost is no object' systems though. Look at the gains in 2xGTX280 SLI and 3xGTX280 SLI vs QX9770.
4x4870 just gets smoked lol.

920 with DX58SO for RM2150 isn't all that painful, though sweet spot should be Eclipse..

kinda a nooby question..

will the current DDR3 (dual channel) rams usable in the x58 mobos?
i'm running team xtreem 1600mhz ddr3 now and thinking of getting i7 920 later...can my rams be used?
or are there specific triple channel rams?

well.. board manufacturer like asus clearly specify ram voltages must be <= 1.65v

you can still run single, dual or triple channel but the best would be 3 identical pieces of ram, and i believe the market has 3 channel kits for sale specifically for x58 boards

another thing is , iirc, 920 will onli run the ram at 1066 while the extreme series will run the ram at 1333.. (one have to check intel website/board manufacturer for more info)

Does it really worth buying nehalem + X58 board if we're don't use all the PCI express x16 slot?
I mean, X58 board gets 4 slot of PCI express x16 right?
If we just use 2 vga, then the other two will just be useless...
And it will cost skyhigh if we use all the slots, won't it?
Because I think that all of the slot must be accounted for its high price...
