Hello guys, you know yesterday I went to the Carrefour at Subang and upstairs they had a pet section where they had hamster, guinea pigs and also a hedgehog on display.
I was so sad yet frustrated to discover that the poor little albino hedgehog was having very bad mite problems. It kept scratching and scratching and scratching itself until there was blood. And a very large area near its rear was bald as all the quills there had dropped. I felt so sad for it. And it's like no one is taking of it. So I took down the email that was displayed there and sent them an email. Sigh. I hope they do something about it. |

Hello guys... long time didn't post here. Been so caught up with college.
Hmm I'm thinking to buy my baby Oakey a ZooZone 2, as then I can put his wheel in. Currently his housing now not enough area to leave the wheel in the whole day, I only put it in at night. However, I'm afraid the ZooZone 2 would be abit difficult to clean. =/ Does anyone here provides a ZooZone 2 for their hedgies? Do you guys use wood shavings or cloth liners? |

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Sep 6 2008, 08:14 PM) Hi Nikki.. Me using Zoozone 2.. And Chipsi Classic, not to say too difficult to clean as i do "SPOT CLEANING" everyday.. to dispose the pee poo before they bulilt up, amount of pee poo n odour.. Its more hygenic that way.. Zoozone 2 is da best option so far for me.. Coz spacious and u dont have to susah2 do a cover on top.. They comes with a lid cover d ma.. QUOTE(muchan86 @ Sep 6 2008, 10:36 PM) I'm using zoozone 1 and I only put the wheel at night and will take it out in the morning as I need to close the cover lid. Oh, how often do you guys change the bedding? I'm currently using bed liners and I change it everyday because it gets stinky and icky.If u using silent wheel, its the same with zoozone 2, after u put in the wheel u can't close the lid cuz the wheel stand to high. And I'm using Breeder Celect as bedding cuz no smell at all One more thing, if u really decide to buy zoozone 2 better think carefully as for now, they have stop the production of zoozone 2 due to the company have a better idea for the new product. You can try to search at garage sales if not mistake got ppl wanna sell of their zoozone 2 Talk bout Ken now... just finish cleaning his cage and shower him as this is his 1st bath after a month due to I'm busy. Guess what... when I put the towel on top of him to dry the quill.... his quills cover up the towel!!! I guess this is means by dry skin lol his skin too dry as I din bath him for a month also ended up he's mad at me as he never like shower QUOTE(babymoli @ Sep 6 2008, 10:45 PM) Hahahaha.. I like toyogo box more. Easy for me. In fact, lazy bum Ren doesn't play prison break. The box I got for him also wide enough to put all his things in. Wheel, 2 bowls, his igloo hideout & 2 of his toys. Hi babymoli, I wanna ask where'd you buy your toyogo box from? And for how much? Thx! |

Oh hmm thanks guys! Think maybe next month when I get my allowance I'll buy Oakey a brand new housing.
Btw, do you guys recommend shavings or bed liners if I intend to keep my Oakey in a larger housing? |

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Sep 7 2008, 11:53 PM) Lol I'm just afraid I might have enough time as college is getting so busy these days. Hmm...maybe I might change to using shavings as I can do spot cleaning. Usually how much shavings do you put in? About 1 inch thick enough? |
