Pepper poops frequently when I hold her in my palm.. Is it normal? Or she don't like me carrying her, so she poops? :-(

Added on June 21, 2009, 8:48 amAlso, I realised got ants marching to the food pellets!! How??

hi , actualy i was thinking to have a hedgehog as a pet, but i heard they will bite, and once they bite they won't let go easily, is it true??
*
hehe.. My Pepper bit me before.. Yes, quite a grip but I shake my finger a bit then manage to release my finger from her mouth.. Then another occasion I put my finger near her for her to smell.. Then I saw her opening her mouth so I quickly remove my hand.. just dun put your hand like a bait, shouldn't be a problem..

The nails too long maybe?
or the surface too slippery?
or...worse case...wobbly...i forget what is it called de....it's a disease
better get it checked then...

if nails too long, can clip it

I put baby oil on the axle of the wobust wodent wheel after washing every day.. I realised today that Pepper licks it!! Is that alright?

Have not seen her for a week.. When I got back home today, she seems more brave! Can climb out from her cage too.. Hehe.. And I think growing bigger too!

my pepper seems to have very good appetite... she can finish 15-20 kibbles at one go... is that normal? should i feed more?

also, i don't see her coming out much to play at night (7pm - 11pm)... after that time i don't know coz i'm sleeping already....

another thing, when i hold her, her spine like poking a bit on my palm (not rolled into a ball but just feel a bit pokey).... then my palm feels itchy for quite some time... do you all feel itchy? or i'm having some allergy reaction?

about 1.5 tablespoons... feeding the 8-in-1 Hedgehog diet...

also i think whenever i put my finger near her nose.. she like want to open her mouth to bite... is it because she is still not familiar with me? T-T

Pepper still don't sleep in the hidebox... keep sleeping under the wheel T-T

After reading most of the previous posts, I have made decision to buy Zoozone 1. Zoozone 2 is a little too big and Im afraid I dont have adequate space for it. And I would like to double check my list again. Mind to help? If I'm not mistaken, he is 3 months old.
- Bedding (Breeder Celect)- Not sure what's this though but I'll get it from petshack
- Bottle
- Food box
- Wheel? Mayb i'll get him one sooner
- Food (RC 32/34/36)?
- D.I.Y hide out place
- A container filled with sand for him to poop

Sorry. Im a noob.

get wobust wodent wheel if can afford.. hehe... i use 8-in-1 Heghehog diet... my Pepper is having good appetite!

container with sand... your hedgie might end up digging it...

my Pepper poops most frequently in the wheel.. does not poop in the litter tray... very occasionally, poops anywhere to her convenience... thinking of using fleece already... only 3 weeks and i finish Breeder Celect 6L... if i continue to use BC for the whole cage.... too costly T-T
