This statement not agreeable..
We have lesser colour variation here....
if u go hedgehogcentral, there are like 20-30 colours...
i dunno the exact figure la...
malaysia....
i can break down to 3 so far..
lol
dunno how to really differentiate them

but of those 4 pics, the 2 SnP are of different colours...dun u all agree?
the bottom one has more white quills....
snowflake?
probably someone who's pro in the diffrentiating the colour can highlight to us..
*
but to determine their colors, not only look at their quills right? hav to check their nose colors and also mask...

to exactly determine the colour, have to consider all that
but then, if we can't even differentiate the colour of the quills, y bother bout the other details? laugh.gif
*
ya, u r right..

but sometime the quills color is same, but becoz of shoulder or nose color, then it became diferent color~

3) is WHS very common?

1) not only RC la... Canidae,Carlifornia Natural,Innova or Go Natural also good brand... Iams, friskies are not recommended...

2) buy slightly deeper wan, as long as they are not able to crawl out...

3) erm erm...this one i am not really sure..let other people answer..but as i noe causes and cure of WHS remain unknown..

you're talking about ultra blend? so far i only come across sunway's petshack who's carrying this product.

in any case, i'd always advise to mix instead of feeding one type of food only to your hedgehog. it's just to be safe, you never know if a certain brand of hedgehog food suddenly gets a cut in supply when you're running out of it. although unlikely, but that's just a suggestion.

i still remember i was feeding my hedgehog RC34kitten back then when suddenly all petstores don't carry this product anymore. i was scampering around looking for a 400g pack but couldn't get any, and in the end i had to change to RC32, and the hedgehog was somewhat picky and wasn't eating a lot when i changed the diet all of a sudden. 34kitten has since been changed to RC36kitten if i've not mistaken. wink.gif

right now, i mix three types of food; ultra blend, RC34 babycat and RC32 fit. smile.gif

u r right. Last time kenken was on Eagle pack, and this kibbles discontinued and i couldn't get any of it...He starved himself for 2-3days, when i serve RC32... end up finally i hav got 1.5kg eagle pack...then...he don wan eat eagle pack anymore... T-T now he is on RC and Inova..

*
i used water bottle....easier...mine i think is 500ml gua... normally hamster bottle only 100ml or lesser...

if put a bowl of water.then spill out and wet their stomach, then nt good coz not easy to dry....thenthose wood shaving stick here and there...not hygiene.... wood shaving gt lot dust, tat's y i don like to use..
