well..u can see my cage setup previous page i think i got post..hedgie 6 weeks ? so 2 months lah ? mine 3 months old..maybe quite same size..i got post oso previous page...pg 68 if im not mistaken. but mine albino type..

in the day i put living world hse..like eskimo hse so my hedgie can sleep whole day in it..at nite i remove it and put in wheel..i got post vid my hedgie playing with it..

yeap..i also have the same problem..keep poo in the wheel..every morning when i wake up need to wash it.. if not my room damn smelly..
i juz gave my lil romeo a bath today..coz his nails damn dirty edi.. when he's in the sink oso poo alot.. scared mayb..but after bath his nails look white and clear..no more dirt..yeay..

i feed my romeo iAM kitten biscuit..he loves it..i giv him 2 ~ 3 mealworms every nite after i play2 with it .. sumtimes after i feed it mealworms it will still go eat kitten biscuits summore..deng..then when i put in wheel , run few rounds then digestion is complete wheel is full with poo..

usualy at nite around 10pm ~ 12am if i try to pick it up it wont be that defensive.. when i want to take out the wheel to wash it in the morning i need to carry romeo out of the wheel , deng he will roll up into a ball n wont come out..mayb angry with me coz disturb him sleeping.. then i put in its hedgie igloo he continue sleep..

what other toys u guys use for ur hedgies ? for me i use toilet roll,wheel,golf ball..any other ?

yeah at first..everyday just let ur hedgie smell ur hand..after awhile scoop it up and let it walk2 on ur hand..play with it..like mine it wont poke2 that much unless i disturb it sleeping or anything..

eh realy ka ? LOL.. din know that..my hedgie looks healthy though..need to reduce givin him mealworms..too fat edi..haha last time i carry it 1 hand can fit..but now need hold him with 2 hands.. romeo big big edi

yeap yeap..when u first bring ur hedgie home it will poke u ..like my romeo did to me.. but after a week or more u want to carry it n play with it it wont poke edi.. but i miss the old days when i carry my hedgie it will roll into ball..so damn cute..

hedgies are easy to take care..coz it sleeps alot..less poo.. but i usualy every morning have to do poo cleaning..if not my room damn smelly..and need clean t3h wheel.. check food n water..thts all.. malam malam oni hedgies are active..

lol..quite a climber eh ur hedgie.. mine dun like climb2..my romeo love to play with the wheel..so noisy at nite.. n keep poo in it too..so room quite smelly..so i decided to put in wheel 1 nite..then the nex nite no put wheel but all its toys..ping pong ball,golf ball,toilet roll..hahaha.. if put wheel every nite i have to clean the wheel everyday which is quite tiring..hav to scrub2 the wheel.. n mayb if put wheel everynite my romeo will be too exhausted n bored with the wheel..

u can see my hedgie pad to giv u some ideas..i think its at page 68..page 70 with wheel(vid)..

nice2..the hissing is normal..after a week or two it will stop hissing edi..unless it feels threatened..
hedgie sleeping time ~> 8am - 10pm active hours ~>10pm - 8am..
constant pooing i think cant control..hahaha..
to pet ur hedgie n make it nt scared of u.. just play with it every nite..just hold it while watching tv or while cleaning its pad..let it get used to u..after playing with it..give ur hedgie mealworms as treats..then it will be happy.. b4 u sleep maybe put in its toys..u can refer to pg 1 on how to create a hedgie toy (toilet roll)..pg 68 got vid of hedgie playing with it.. hope it helps..
if u have xtra budget mayb can buy ur hedgie a wheel..

yeah..agree2..1 time i juz came back from dinner..ate garlic bread..when i came back gave my romeo scent my finger..he started lickin n then bit my finger..haha..lucky not much pain though.. maybe caused by garlic scent.. and yana_adell..yeah..they are more like hamsters but hedgies are 2x their size,2x cuter,2x safer from cats + others,2x more the cost for food n other supplies,their "faeces" 2x larger n 2x more smelly..

last friday,i went for friday prayers as usual..when i came back my maid was in panic mode..she said 4~5 monkeys were in my room..my hse located near hutan area..she closed my room door n too scared to scare off the monkeys..i was so worried about my hedgie ..n when i went in my room all was messed up..books all over the place..glass,radio all broken..monkey faeces all over the place..lucky my hedgie was okay..so i think compared to other small pets , hedgies are the most safest due to their quills tht can scare off other animals.. even my cat , the other day my cat tried to smell romeo n he suddenly jumped n went into defensive mode. my cat ran n since dat day never entered my room nemore..

eh wanna ask sumthing..do ur hedgies when they eat/chew sumthing they dont like they will spit it out on their body..my hedgie have tht habit..lol..weird bcoz the other day i gave my romeo roam around the garden inside my hse area..his 1st time outside..then he tried chewing some grass..he din like it n spit it out in his body.. after tht i gave him a bath..

actualy hedgies dont sleep tht much i think..coz they sleep when we are awake and they active when we are asleep.. nowadays i sleep around 3~4 in the morning..play2 with my hedgie b4 i go to sleep..active fellah.. giv my hedgie roam around the garden inside my hse area 2 in the morning..i lepak there so peaceful..no people no cars..me n my hedgie..

yeap..i got my romeo from the reptiles kingdom fella.. try searching there kaoru..

meento : yeah..they run demm fast..last time my romeo run on the wheel silent n slow2 oni..now my hedgie already grown big run in the wheel how many times edi the wheel disconnected from the steel thingy..big sized fella run on the wheel oso like wan roboh nia..haha.. .. if ur hedgies ever get away from u dont chase it..u wont catch it..just clap or make any loud noises..it will stop n go into defensive mode.. they are fast runners..
