Nice Albino!
You can take him out and play, but not play for 5min then let him sleep, then take out and play again for another 5min.... Keep disturbing him will stress him out though... A lot ppl use big container box~~ |

remember to separate them unless the female is ready for mate... Sometime when we put them together and we tot they are playing happily..but in fact mayb they are not happy and stressful becoz they are solitairy animal..
They don nid companion or friendship. |

You shud let the hedgie settle down in new environment first..Leave him alone for 2-3days..put ur wore clothes inside..
After 2-3days, u can started to handfeed mealworms or kibbles. |

15-20 kibbles? erm....i don count the kibbles that i feed..becoz different brand has different size of kibbles....How many tablespoon u feed?
7-11pm is still early for hedgie..... Most of them come out after 12... some will only come out when you off the light. It's our skin reaction towards the quills, this happen on everyone. Jus make sure u wash ur hand after playing with him. |

QUOTE(ray2204 @ Jul 2 2009, 12:31 AM) hi....my hersheys doesn't really like mealworms. i bought the dried ones n he doesn't really like it but the kibbles r still ok, haha...oh ya, where do u guys keep your hedgies n what kinda temperature? i on my aircon occasionally cos i'm scared he's too cold. oh ya, how do u guys shower him? do u only do it when u can hand hold him? cos i dun think he got any bath since d day he went to d pet shop... Try to get live insects and let him try... I think he will love it~~ My hedgie cage got lot fleece... he will squeeze himself underneath the fleece if he feels cold.. U can refer to first page for the bathing process. Btw, u jus got ur hedgie? Let him settle down with u first only u try to shower him, becoz bathing can cause numerous stress on hedgehog. |

Rabbit cage? Make sure the bottom plastic base is deep enuf, so the hedgie wont climb..
U can use toyogo box, the plastic container... jus remove the cover so u don hav to drill hole for ventilation.. But i think u nid to drill hole to hang ur bottle... U btter get those stuff today... set it up and get ready... don wait until last min...Make it done today, so tat you can put the hedgie in str8 away tomolo and let him settle down inside the new cage first.. Oh ya, u can get hedgie starter kit from jtl too.. All basic things are included. |
