how long to train hedgie to used littter box? currently trying to teach my hedgie to used it(3 week) but still no progress...

the only place hedgie like to pee and poo is in the wheel... doh.gif
*
even if he is toilet trained, he will still pee and poo in wheel.. washing wheel is our job, cant escape...

But if they are trained, then they wont pee and poo outside of the litter box lo..

Not all hedgie can be trained, got member tried for months also cant...

Hedgie can climb, so u nid to get a deeper container so they wont prison break..

U can either use Silent Wheel or Wodent Wheel Wobust.. I'm using silent wheel 12inch...but plan to change to wodent wheel.. becoz the silent wheel not stable, the hedgie run run run on the wheel then the whole wheel will fall... T-T

huh..what name is the cage?

Transparent hide box.... the light will still shoot on them...they don like... esp when they sleepiing... so i don really encourage u to use... end up ur hedgie wont sleep in hidebox...

Sunway pyramid..only got 1 petshop.... but i only see zoozone there b4 only....never notice got other cage that suits hedgie...

If u get those cage with bar... make sure the bottom is not wire but flat ground...if not their feet will get hurt...

For a week? send for boarding better..or ask ur fren take care...

if 1 2 day u can actually put more food and drinks..but too many days, the kibbles will become not tat tasty since it expose to air for quite sometime.. so ur hedgie might starve....

Play safe better...

@Runner999,

Don really encourage u to put such high water level..they may get choke..becoz they will struggle when shower...keep running away... so 1inch of water is more than enuf..

Put BC on the wheel? It definitely will drop out when the wheel is moving...

There are few people currently feeding their hedgie this diet mix with other brand such as RC... the feedback is positive. And as i mentioned b4, i read few articles on net saying this product is good for hedgie. U can try it when u got ur hedgie... biggrin.gif

zoozone got special hole for u to hang water bottle..

Balcony? U living in condo or wat? Your balcony sunlight can reach or not? I don think balcony is a suitable place..too bright though...ur hedgie would not like it..

Try to talk to ur mom...mayb put in living room? Hedgie basically are odourless if u clean up the housing regularly.

oh, just got it. Then u shud let him alone for 1-2 days... put ur wore shirt inside...let him settle down first..

After 2days, u can try handfeed him kibbles... then slowly approach his head...touch bit his stomach or leg..then scoop it up..don scoop from behind coz he cant see u he will scare...

what i do is i let kenken see my hand first...let him noe i going to handle him up...then if he don like he will hiss, then i stop...then cont again...

but now, he is very ok with me d..i can jus take him up.. So i think if u all in sudden take him up he will be very insecure..so let him know, get his 'agreement' for handling him first.. biggrin.gif

Hi, I'm newbie here.
I'm thinking to get a hedgie soon and I would like to know how much of the start-up cost to rear a hedgie?
Does Wobust Wodent Wheel is neccessary? I found it is very expensive and I dont think I can afford it. >"< Sad!
*
You can use other wheel as alternatives. But i found that Wodent Wheel are more stable compare to others such as Silent Wheel.. I'm using Silent Wheel 12''..but it's really not stable, there were few times kenken run run run then the whole wheel jus fell down.. T-T

Give them a exercise wheel can reduce their boredom and also keep fit~~ biggrin.gif

Reli fed up with TOBY PETS!!!!!

My fren called me jus now, he said he saw toby pets put 20++ hammie in a same tank with 3underaged hoglet!!

Few of the hammie are red eyed and all of the hammie keep chasing the hoglet and bite them..then the hoglets keep poke the hammie..then the hammie withdraw, then chase and bite them again...

I am speechless...such a cruel and non-ethical shop.
