Depends on what type of server you are in. PvP servers have some farm places with so much PvP action they lower your efficiency, while PvE servers have some places camped for spawns.

For example, if you are in a contentious PvP realm and you decide to farm elementals at the Throne in HFP during normal hours, you're gonna get ganked a lot.
