yesterday went back to my parents' house and noticed that my newborn baby cavy now looked bigger and fatter.. it's nearly 2 weeks-old now.. but still afraid to touch it.. my bro kept begging me thru sms to give him the baby cuz last saturday he oso went back to my parents' house and he really likes the baby.. i'm still considering to give him cuz i really knew how he takes care of things.. decided to name the baby Musashi, after another swordman who have a fight with Kojiro..

it depends on how much u feed them and how many gp that u have..
basically, one gp needs one handfull of hay everyday.. but u can give them more..

btw, are u planning to keep a female or male gp?
if female, it's better to keep two unless u have enough time to play with her so that she doesn't feel so lonely..

i don't think they will die of lonely but what's the purpose of keeping pets if u don't want to play with them and let them being lonely..

emm both male and female if not potty trained will simply urine anywhere, u know..
and potty training can be done perfectly if ur gp stays inside the cage only, but when u let them walk outside i think it's quite hard to make them to go back inside the cage and pee/poo inside the litter tray..

Kojiro, my male gp will sometimes pee on my shirt if i pat him while watching tv.. this will happen if he's outside the cage for too long.. but i think Jamien's girl oso like dat.. from what jamien said before, younger gps tend to have dis kind of habit..

i think u misunderstood my words.. i didn't say u won't provide the cage for ur gp only it's hard to teach them to go back inside the cage to pee/poo if u put them outside.. please read back my post..

the more u play with them, the more they will like u and acknowledge u as their owner..

did an experiment juz now.. seems like kojiro can get along with sheimi (my hedgie).. but sheimi kept anointing when i put him besides kojiro..

anointing is a very normal behaviour for a hedgie.. when they smell something different they will lick/put their saliva on their back.. dunno for what purpose..

for gp, we have these mouse pokemons' name:

Pikachu, pichu, raichu, rattata, raticate, marill, azurill, plusle, minun

cyndaquil in japanese is hinoarashi

my fav pokemon names which i might consider for my pets:

Lugia, serebii, chikorita, togepi, eevee, mew, espeon, skitty, latias, latios, hikozaru (japanese name for chimchar)

i think u can put it inside a small box..
put some hay..
and cucumber as source of water..
maybe u can put some bedding or cloth so that the pee won't drip out from the box..

portable aquarium is transparent right? i'm only afraid that if the driver or conductor see the gp inside the aquarium they won't allow u to board the bus..

if 3 hours journey, won't they pee inside the bag eh?

actually not all gp that u buy from petshop are not good..
i think 70% of ppl here did buy their gp from petshop..

nvm.. i promised myself not to get another gp unless it is a texel so i think u can do the wheeking demo la... hehe.. err btw, u don't have any resemblance with a texel kan?

juz thinking.. since there are so many gp owners here, how about if we put the names of gp owners plus their gps' names on the first post of the thread?
