When their skin gets too dry, their shedding becomes more serious. It's absolutely normal. It should not create bald spots. Bald spots either mean a fungal infection or pests. The only remedy for dry skin is to not bathe your GPs too often. Mine only gets one bath in 3 weeks.

@Adriane: Don't use chicken wire. I heard it's poisonous for hamsters, so I wouldn't reccomend it for guinea pigs either.

better stick to one GP 1st... let her comfortable with u 1st and if the doctor said she's healthy then u can consider to adopt another friend for her.

as if u adopt one more on a stage where u n ur GP not bond yet, u will ended up she's not gonna bond with u. As she got her friend and she wont need u anymore.. think carefully.

Also, if u really decided to adopt after she bond with u, if u getting it at petshop make sure u quarantine her in another cage as she might have lice or else...

alot of us do not really go into a BALANCED diet, like say we feed only 1 or 2 veges or fruits a day, or 2 - 4 veges or fruits per week, which is actually not in balance.  i mean its not GOOD enough

suloran is for ear infection right? or it can use for eye n ear?  cos as i know its for ear, but u say ur GP eye infection..
