Tested, using Soundstream Xstream 480W 4 channel, bridged my 6x9. Bass was excellent, way much better than being driven by my pioneer HU

If without amps, recomended to use small magnet type. If big magnet type, better to install with plywood mounting to maximise delivery thru amps.

big magnet or small magnet....doest matter
bcoz some magnets can be big, but not strong magnets...

whether power is sufficient depends on the db response....
plus the size of the voice coil and so on....

Focal BE Berrylium tweeters magnets are small...but u need a good 80watts rms to drive it to give its transparency and so on....

so the question of 6x9......if u hv budget...go for DLS or Focal

taikor....fyi, focal 6X9 is not that expensive...only shops jack them up bcoz of brand name sake...

if u ask me....i personally wont buy 6x9.

the first thing is...what frequency range do u all intend to play on a 6x9?

Even i bought a aftermarket plywood board for my Soundstream xstream, broke into half after six month usage cause is too heavy for being 6x9 with 30oz magnet. Usually 6x9 magnet is 20 to 22oz magnet weight.
