just beware the amp will blow the rear speaker.....i suggest to opt for a sub & take off the rear speaker.....& save for a 4 channel amp....

Guess I really have no choice then...

I'll bring it to a specialist shop to let them do it biggrin.gif

Added on July 12, 2008, 5:25 pmThere was a comment earlier, asking me if the tweeters are overwhelming.

I can now confirm that, YES, they are...

So what's the solution for this problem? sad.gif

If you have not replace your OEM HU, I suggest you re-install your previous OEM speakers to give a much better overall sound. You will have to replace the to at least an entry-level branded HU those below $400 type with a reasonable 6" passive component set to get the 'stage 1' sound improvements you're looking for. Stage 2 involves installing a 3-way 6 1/2" at the rear if you intend to end your ICE-experience at that level, if not than can go for 2-way 6" at the rear & wait for further budget for a stage 3 rear woofer & 4-channel amplifier installation.

I have changed the OEM Head Unit. Currently using Kenwood MP5039U.

Sigh...feel regret...for spending a considerable amount of money, and getting lousy sound...Hopefully if can be rectified with minimal costs !

I recommend you check your wiring especially the polarity on the speakers.. If you reverse the polarity (signal phase) on either speakers, they cancel out each other.. That might be your case...

Don't quite understand what you mean with the polarities and stuff...

If I bring it to a specialist audio shop...would they be able to fix it for me?

Or do my speakers and head unit just suck? (speakers and head unit model and specs listed on first page)...

Polarities as in '+' and '-' on batteries? Just bring it to a reputable shop and they can diagnose the problem for you...

You can get good sound quality with just about any branded car audio component out there.. so it is either your wiring/settings are wrong or your components are faulty.

No more funds to spare...hahaha...

Going to save up for a few months, then maybe will add subwoofer to make up for the poor bass.
