How disapppointing... Vodafone NZ is cut throat. $699 for 16Gb with an ongoing 80 dollar payment per month.
This's really expensive.. 250Mb of data, 120 minutes call nationwide and 600 text to any network.
I do miss Digi... It's waaaay cheaper using mobile in Malaysia..

I did a rough calculation for the ownership of an Iphone. For NZ vodafone, you'll be paying RM6.5k for the 16gb phone plus 2 years worth of phone bill. RM6k for Vodafone Aus.. not much different. If you opt for Optus, which is relatively reasonable, you'll pay RM3k for a 12 month contract and RM3.4k for a 2 years contract.. But... You can't really make much phone calls or sms with that amount of monthly phone bill you pay... You can still choose to pay for the Optus prepaid for about RM2.9k. Go to australia for vacation, pay 80 AUD to keep in touch with your malaysia friends, and you'll be coming back with an iphone, fully unlocked with warranty
