Guitars noob needs help with tremolo arm

i need help on installing the tremolo arm... is it turned clock wise ? when i using it, do i have to pull or push it down ? plz help me.... btw i m using fender stratocaster standard

turn clock wise? you mean screwing it in ?

depressing the bar will lower the pitch while raising the bar will increase the pitch smile.gif have fun !

Strats can't pull up to high. If you do, you'll most likely affect the tuning and snap of the strings.

well before u could snap your strings, you probably broke the arm.. lol
Unlike a floyd rose, the wood under the strat's trem are not carved off.. there is a limit to how much u can pull up.. so dont over do it...

I almost dun use the trem at all... maybe once in a blue moon

pull or push it will give different effect, depends on your need for that song. However keep on doing it you will have to retune it often.

^ Exactly. Why pay RM20 for something you can do yourself? Especially on a vintage trem equipped Strat.

TS, the Strat trem isn't meant to be abused. Its more for vibrato effects. You can push it down for moderate divebombs, but don't pull it up too much. And just screw the arm in, you should know when you're turning it in the right direction.

anyway, i think its clockwise, basically for screws
