200~300 for a cd player have alot of choice lor....any thing also can...

yes, which is why I want you guys to recommend a few good brands. So I dont have to go and choose from 500 different brands out there.

Why consider 300-400 budget HU, i would reckon to save up more let say abt 600-700 to get a decent alpine HU. The 98xx series of alpine does a very good player indeed is low end & somehow i believe now the market price is reduce. U never go wrong with alpine HU.

I do not advice to buy CD player below $300 ones as it's just not value to money. Spend another $100 on entry-level branded Japanese brands is much more worth it in relation to durability, functions & overall sound reproduction.

What's this I hear from my friends about CDs skipping when going over bumps/rough terrain?
