will pick grand livina for the overall passengers comfort, especially if choose the 1.8 variant where u'll encounter less situation where u'll feel under power...

Rush, being a Toyota... well... a typical toyota... laugh.gif
jokes aside, the interior of the rush is just average with everything just serve their basic purposes...

Without 4x4 AWD, Rush is just an "expensive/overpriced SUV looking Advanza".

Get the Nautica (the cheapest taxed/duty CBU)... for "the real Rush" if you do not need a 7 seater.

I will choose Rush, power to weight ratio is better than livina(1.6)( if not mistaken i read this in a car forum).

however power is not my concern since i dont have 7passenger to fix in so often... hehe

checked it out in showroom, impressive with its height(i like big wheel car.... sleep.gif) tyre( rush 215/65R16 vs livina 185/65R15)

Livina is slightly longer than rush but rush win over in sense of width and Height...
Livina: Rush
L:4420 L:4410
W:1690 W:1695
H:1590 H:1745

rush has a better noise insulation....

just my 2 cents.... check it out for both car, choose the one u like...both are comparable!! ^.^

Correction here, power to weight ratio for rush vs. livina(1.6) are 15 vs. 15.90, where livina leading with 0.9 more.......

For your references, below are comparison between citra, livina and rush....

Max Output (PS/rpm) - Rush 109/6,000 @ Citra 2.0 138 (+29)/6,000 @ Livina 1.6 A/T 105 (-4)/5,200

Max Torque (Nm/rpm) - Rush 141/4,400 @ 175 (+34)/4,500 @ 150 (+9)/4,400

Kerb Weight (kg) - Rush 1,220 @ Citra 2.0 1,461 (+241) @ Livina 1.6 A/T 1,245 (+25)

Power To Weight Ratio (kg/kW) - Rush 15.0 @ Citra 14.2 (-0.8) @ Livina 1.6 A/T 15.9 (+0.9)

Citra’s power-to-weight ratio advantage over Rush is minimised by it’s 241kg weight difference.

Fuel Consumption (EEC) (L/100km) * Manufacturer’s Claim
Urban - Rush 10.2 @ Citra 11.1 @ Livina 11.1
Extra Urban - Rush 6.9 @ 7.1 @ Livina 7.1
Combined - Rush 7.9 @ Citra 8.1 @ Livina 8.1

Wheelbase (mm) - Rush 2,685 @ Citra 2,560 (-125) @ Livina 2,600 (-85)

Interior Height (mm) - Rush 1,240 @ Citra 1,180 (-60)

i like rush!! ^.^

I actually quite like the outlook of the Rush, but after I test drove both cars, I would say livina is a better choice, simply because livina has better ride quality. This is a family car, ride comfort should be the top priority. The Rush is simply too bouncy.

I don't see any reason to buy Rush with that kind of body structure. If Rush is equpped wit 4X4 then it's worth of it.

Remember overall height affects the car handlings, and also comfort of passanger inside..higher cars has low center gravity..

The FC for My Innova 2.0G (Auto) is about RM110 for 400~420km, 50% city + 50% extra urban

Rush 1.5S A/T RM90k vs Avanza 1.5G A/T RM70k, that is a very significant RM20k difference.

Which will u choose between Nissan Grand Livina and Toyota Rush as ur MPV?

Reason?
Comments?
Experiences?
Pros and Cons?
Fuel consumption?
Which 1 more comfortable and spacious?
Which 1 looks nicer?

Feel free to express ur thoughts or throw flames on these cars here...
ur polls and comments are appreciated. thank you...
*
Chosen candidate:
Grand Livina

Reason:
Lets face d facts, ur considering these 2 coz ur looking at a ride tat take more than 5ppl. Rush is basically an Avanza(step ladder frame), pumped up wheels n body but kinda let down in ride n built quality.

Comments:
Livina is a monocoque body from d Latio which is more suited for passanger ferrying. Only advantage d Rush has is rugged looks n higher driving position.

Experience:
Scared d sh*t of me when i drove d Rush at 110kmh n decided to lower my expectation to 90kmh (floating, prone to cross-winds, under powered n relatively high noise intrusion). Imagine driving a stock Kenari wit Kembara sized wheels n ground clearance. Driven a Storm n Unser at highway speeds but still hv convidence to keep to those speeds. Further more the gear ratios r more suited for urban runners.

G.Livina
+ Comfort
+ Better built interior
+ Will hold better value (compare Livina n Rush population ratio)
- subjective sedate looks (unless u opt for d Impul add-ons)

Rush
+ Higher driving position
+ Rugged looks
- Below average drive
- Bouncy last row comfort
- Interior built (think Toyota's really pressing d budget point here)

FC
1.6 Livina n 1.5 Rush fc is not much different but d candidate from T edges ahead due to wheel size n smaller power shortage.

U may think I'm kinda anti-Rush here but best for u to b d driver n passanger in both vehicles before deciding

I don't see any reason to buy Rush with that kind of body structure. If Rush is equpped wit 4X4 then it's worth of it.

Remember overall height affects the car handlings, and also comfort of passanger inside..higher cars has low center gravity..

When ur driving 4x4 isnt the road tax higher? don't think so it's a pro. Plus Road tax for SUV is cheaper in Sabah than Peninsula by almost 50%. Dun think 4X4 would sell better.

Higher cars have low center gravity would be Einsteinly correct however, not everyone drives for F1 right. I find taller cars gives better visibility.

I would say Rush is worth the price in terms of resale value. Cheap? Not really. Best value? well it's one of the lower price competitive SUV in the market. For price conscious drivers who wants an SUV exterior, be it 4x4 or 4x2, the only next affordably price standing is KIA Sportage Facelift - RM112k.

If it's 4x4, imagine what would Rush Price be? Would users get fickled minded as to do they really need 4x4 performance while cruising tinned congested highway between Midvalley and KLCC? The whole debate of value vs price starts back from square 1.

Road tax is based on engine size.................... Road tax is cheaper in Sabah at up to 80% or more depending on cc.... Nautica/Alza/Rush/Honda City..... all paying the same road tax

no Mr. Einstein, the visibility is based on the seat. myvi sitting way way higher than wira, due to the seat design. Not becos it has taller roof.
