There is the Real Property Gain Tax waiver for property abover 5 years, right ?
Does the 5 years begin from the date of the S&P or 5 years after CF ?

For now, RPGT is exempted. I believe it was since last year.

Yes, previously there was no tax for prop after 5 years. I think it is from the date of the S&P. Someone please confirm.

@johnsonm,
Er.. which property did U purchase which gave U 300% profit after the next day? Oh well.. even the next year tongue.gif

I just bought a house @ RM770k. If I could get 300% profit selling it now, I definitely would. With RM3.08m I'll get a bungalow instead biggrin.gif

@ronnie,
NO it's not 5 years from S&P date. It's waived entirely NOW! Refer to Post #3 by johnsonm

Think Johnson meant 300% returns on cash invested. Not impossible to get, but aint easy either.

So techinacally for cash-rich buyers like yourself tongue.gif , your returns would be lower (% wise) since u didnt leverage to the max.

@tinkerbel

OT. Leveraging could be a double edged sword, so your need to know well before you start to apply. I believe it does not suite you bcos of your risk profile. Correct me if I am wrong.

No intention to offend anyone.
