Samsung BD-P4600 Wall-Mountable Blu-ray Player
The Profile 2.0 BDP-4600 is the world’s first wall-mountable Blu-ray player, according to Samsung. It offers 1080p playback, DVD upscaling, total HD soundtrack support and is just 1.5-inches thick.

It features Samsung’s Touch of Color (ToC) design and instant streaming of Netflix and Pandora with 1GB internal flash memory. The BDP-4600 also has an integrated stand that sits on a table at a 25-degree angle.

Other features: 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi dongle, two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, and decoding of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD HR/MA.


LG BD390 Blu-ray Player
The Profile 2.0 BD390 joins the growing list of LG products that offer Netflix streaming. The player also offers 1080p upscaling of DVDs and wireless networking to access entertainment anywhere in the home.

Other features: 1GB of built-in memory, BonusView with picture-in-picture and Dolby TrueHD, Digital Plus and DTS-HD Advanced Digital Out.


Pioneer BDP-23FD
The Elite BDP-23FD has been designed exclusively for the custom market, according to Pioneer.

It features a RS-232C interface and KURO Link Picture Mode, which activates a dedicated A/V mode when connected to a KURO TV that “optimizes video reproduction between the two devices to deliver a perfectly synced image.”

The BDP-23FD Blu-ray Player will ship in the spring. MSRP: $599


Pioneer BDP-320
The BDP-320 features 1GB of internal memory, support for 48-Bit Deep Color, Picture Control Suite to tweak 13 video adjustments and noise reduction circuits.

It also offers: DAC, jitter-reduction technology, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD bitstream output, KURO Link and 7.1-channel analog output.

The BDP-320 will ship this spring. MSRP: below $400


Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray Player
The DMP-BD80 features VIERA Cast support for access to Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube, Google’s Picasa Web Album, Bloomberg and a weather channel.

It also comes with 7.1 channel analog out to produce true 7.1 surround sound and a playback window that can display detailed image information while a movie is playing. It doesn’t support Netflix streaming.


AQUOS BD Series LCDs with Built-in Blu-ray Player
The 1080p AQUOS BD Series LCDs come with built-in Blu-ray players and are available in theses sizes (inches): 32, 37, 42, 46, 52.

The side-loading slot plays Blu-ray, DVD and CD content. The BD Series LCDs house a built-in ATSC and QAM tuner, as well as RS-232C and PC inputs.

The 46-inch LC-46BD80U (shown above) has Fine Motion Enhanced technology for 120Hz Frame Rate Conversion, a 10-bit panel for Deep Color compatibility and four HDMI inputs.


Vizio VBR100
Vizio is throwing its hat into the Blu-ray ring, and they are giving it the inexpensive spin that has made them a serious competitor in the CE marketplace.

The VBR100 has a 108MHz/11-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to deliver a 1080p picture, as well as upconvert your old discs.

It’s also got support for Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and multi-channel PCM. Aside from video playback, the unit will also play CDs, including CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 CDs.

Other features: HDMI 1.3, component and composite outputs, a slim (17 x 11 x 2 inches) profile and a remote. It doesn’t appear to be BD Profile 2.0, but at that price, you can still expect the VBR100 to convert a few more consumers to Blu-ray beginning this April.
