anyone with clockspeed more than what CCC's cap experience VPU recovery while gaming (after few hours), but not while benchmarking/stressing?

u use HD4830 rite? tuned down your memory clock.

HD4830 memory clock is hard to oc....but the core clock can fly high

oh ya, my own personal-gpu-stability-test... run DMC4 benchmark with all super high + 8xmsaa, if one doesn't encounter artifact/no-texture screen until the end...i assume the clock is stable

to gain 15k, u need to extremely oc ur proc..

im not sure, vista can detect it pretty well.

phenom II 920 can achieve as high as >4000ghz, but u need to have good rams/cooler/mobo

as for not-so-extreme oc, maybe around 3.5~3.7ghz, but need to play with vNB/vcore/vdimm

If your VPU recover appear, either core/memory clock is OCed too high.

Since you says you overclock through CCC, revert your memory clock back to normal, and re-run the application that you experience VPu recover, in order to find either your core clock, or memory clock is not stable.

I do think the memory clock is the problem here,try increase the memory by 5~10Mhz slowly and re-test the stability, to get the best memory clock of your card

If ur custom cooler have ram heatsink, maybe you can higher memory clock

you can OC through flashing bios to ur gc

or...torture your card till it die then rma
