i finally get to tweak my fan speed setting and keep it maintain at the desire clock. XD
I follow this instruction of tweaking the fan speed without playing with the 'blue-wire' *taken from http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=...569#post2751569 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 675/1020 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Hope this helps other HD4850 users out there! yes, it's a stock cooler fan from Gigabyte HD4850. (3 years warranty)
i set the fan speed at 60%. a bit noisy. so i reduce to 55%. sounds pretty quiet. i've tried 100%, it sounds like my HD4850 cooler is gonna explode anytime. haha Added on August 18, 2008, 12:29 pmI've found a better software than CCC It's call ATI tools tray. It's much more sophiscated and more tweaks can be done. Here's the link http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=270486 This post has been edited by leezhunkeat: Aug 18 2008, 12:29 PM |

OC at GPU/MEM : 700/1125 with voltage of 1.120 Hope this would be able to share my OC result with others. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

by the way, i notice most of the HD4850 user out there has low temperature even though the fan speed is low. But mine's a bit HOT. That's weird.
Probably most of you are using after market cooler i guess. |

now i'm stuck whether to get Gainward HD4850 Golden Sample or just get another cheapo HD4850 and adds twin turbo cooler.
Two things i have to take note, GPU temperature on idle and how much can it OC. -__- any suggestion out there? @_@ Gainward HD4850 comparison This post has been edited by leezhunkeat: Aug 24 2008, 10:40 PM |

hmm, the GS version looks okay. besides according to the brochure from moderno, it's using 0.9ns samsung chip. 'so call' faster memory.
but to me, it's all about BEST BUY. haha the GS has already set 700/1000. i think i can push more. but i'm afraid the stock cooler from Gainward doesn't release much heat. even the HIS HD4850ICEQ4 turbo looks good. .... choices!!!! ARGH, too many HD4850 product in the market !!!! This post has been edited by leezhunkeat: Aug 24 2008, 11:35 PM |

i think if there are artifacts, you'll start seeing white dots randomly appear on the donut
