Any PowerColor HD4850 Play user here?
![]() After so many post I've been through, I can see that you all can easily clock your HD4850 to 700/1100. I'm using Catalyst 8.12 downloaded from official website, and max I can go is like 680/1020 like that only. I'm using: Q6600 @ stock G31M-ES2L @ F4 bios Corsair XMS2 800 4GB @ stock CM Extreme 500w Vista Ultimate 32bit So I'm wondering is it my PSU not enough to give power if I wanted to clock the card, as well as the other hardwares? Question(again):
Regarding to bios flashing, I've found this. QUOTE(Overclock.net) Hey guys here is some of the OC ready bios for 4850 and 4870 round up! All have been test work perfectly. 3D mark vantage rise by 500mark on hard OC 4850, and 1000Mark on hard OC 4870 ( On my system ) I> 4850 BIOS 1. HD4850 Hard Overclocked. DF Core 750MHz Mem 1100MHz Auto Cool Fan. GPU Core upper Limit 850MHz Memory Upper limit 1300MHz Vcore Modded to 1.175V for hard Overclocking. LINK 2. HD4850 Light Overclocked. DF Core 700MHz Mem 1000MHz Auto Cool Fan. GPU Core upper Limit 850MHz Memory Upper limit 1300MHz Vcore DF 1.12V LINK HD4850 only Upper limit. DF Core 625MHz Mem 993MHz Auto Cool Fan. GPU Core upper Limit 950MHz Memory Upper limit 1400MHz Vcore DF 1.12V LINK HD4850 only Upper limit. DF Core 625MHz Mem 993MHz. GPU Core upper Limit 1250MHz Memory Upper limit 1450MHz Vcore DF 1.12V LINK Source: Overclock.net Does that mean that once we flash the bios, we can get that particular stock clock already? Does that applies on all the HD4850 in the market? Or does it pointed to certain brand only? Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions as I'm still on the road on learning This post has been edited by Shufflerz: Jan 28 2009, 05:39 PM |

hmm.. after upgraded my proc, the score raised to 14303, my gc still clocked at 770/1260 with 46C idle, 65C full load.. compare my oced e8400 and ur stock q6600, the cpu score is 3445 vs 3417, so i think cpu is not the factor.. and after comparing sm2.0 and sm3.0 score, its like the card itself has prob.... or the mobo? lolz..
