i wanna oc my asus eah4850 512mb (glaciator fan).... i downloaded rivatuner and atitool... i open the riva tuner... i cant find any option for ocing.. then i run atitool... the program hang... refer the pic..



any1 can teach me how to oc my card? is it stable to oc using catalyst software?

lolz.. this batch was a gem last time.. energy efficient.. able to run stock speed at 1.10 vcore ...

its is bottlenecking my graphic performance nyway.. especially the SM3.0 HDR sector.. upgraded to E8400 does have big improvement!

hey guys i know this tread is for 4850 only...but does any1 have overclocked his hd4830 iceq? how much is the maximum oveclocked reached for this gc...i have overclocked mine till 700/1000 and its stable...not sure whether i should overclock somemore or not...

aku nye oc 700/1100 jer. stock 680/993 lepas flash bios.
hot vanilla oso haha...only can run gta4 texture : medium quality : highest. dapat la dlm 38fps average.
can play games for hours without artifacts. ko punye techfrix setting camno?

Just use the Overdrive function in the catalyst driver, use the auto tune feature. That would do the trick.

HIS HD4850 IceQ4 Turbo @ TurboX 685/1100

guys i own a 4870 1gb and the com keeps rebooting every time while playing games. I have changed every part of the computer except for my 560 w psu silverstone. Only able to play games while underclocking. at normal speed it will reboot after a while.

maybe not enuff juice..or ur PSU oredy degrading..

i'm having a HIS stock HD4850 512MB GDDR3
- 650Mhz Core (Stock 625MHz)
- 1000Mhz Memory (stock 993Mhz)

its so hot that i manually set the fan speed to 40%
@ 4000 rpm (+/-5%)

now its 50'C idle and 75'c when runnig lots of load... eg. crysis

auto -tune gives me 695/1100....it never hangs in games and temps about 80C with my sapphire HD4850 with reference cooler so i dont think theres any prob with it.......

btw...just asking...has anyone here crossfired a 1gb HD4850 with a 512MB one? im planning to get a new gainward HD4850 GS 1GB for my current sapphire HD4850 512mb....wonder if anything would happen..like unable to support or the 1GB ram will downgrade to 512mb

just tuned it up yesterday..

manually adjusted 40% fan speed with ATi stock cooler
Core 685 and Memory 1100

i m newbie HIS 4850 TurboX..
any1 can recommend the setting for it to OC?
