i read most forum saying hd4850 of none reference board has problem...for instance his, if i m not mistaken, often face vpu crash..juz like colourful

bro tampoi, mind to tell us which pencil mod u used for your his 4850? coz as far as i know, the first pencil vmod method (the safer one which allows up to 1.4v) cannot be done, coz there's nothing there to paint. so did u use the 2nd one?

I used the right picture shown in your post, there is a resistor instead of a blank spot which you'll give a few strokes and confirm with DMM... Check your ohm before and after good luck

2B does the job, no problem...

that's strange, u sure there's a resistor there (where we supposed to draw if follow the 2nd method)? coz mine is exactly the same as the 2nd method's layout. here's a picture of my his 4850 pcb



which is the same as the techpowerup.com's 2nd method



coz i know if follow the first method, there's nothing there to draw (if u note the picture which i have taken)

kinda confused, coz our his 4850 pcb layout is totally different. do u mind if u post a pic of your pcb or just draw on the pic i snapped? thanks in advance

Sorry metsatsu, i gave the wrong info. It should be the resistor above the area you pointed...

so what ur saying is that we draw the strokes on the black resistor? (red arrow)

in desktop drop to 500-300.. during load it's 700..

oic. so that's how the gainward 4850 bios works? my his behave like that

becoz that one is default.. if oc.. will set oc speed always unless using ccc..

anybody wtb this cooler i have 1 extra unit left
