yesterday, oc-ed my gigabyte zalman to 675/1050 stable... can go till 690/110 but not very stable... any other people using gigabyte zalman? if yes, what the max stable you can push??

Stock Gigabyte 4850 1GB ~ pre factory overclocked to 700/993 core/mem.

Only very few games took advantage of the extra 512MB. I bought it because when I bought it, many people are unwilling to let go their stock 4850 for below RM500. I bought it for RM550 (1-2months used only). No way I would choose stock 4850 when the price is same.

Even so, the extra 512MB does help getting smoother gameplay. Also get some extra frame when playing Crysis. Overall, worth buying but new price is a bit too steep lor (RM690). Better buy 4870 if buy new.

3DMark06 is not tweaked for 4800 series. Game benches is more accurate.

I was experiencing random reset with this driver, wondering what's the problem. A friend with 4850 gs doesnt have this kind of problem. Im using gecube 4850 btw..

I dont think so enough power. Full system load around 400+ only, my psu 600w.
Overclock (690/2260) and stock gives the same problem.

not fair comparing stock speed and pre-oc card la bro...
try oc that sapphire then do the test again...

guys i own a 4870 1gb and the com keeps rebooting every time while playing games. I have changed every part of the computer except for my 560 w psu silverstone. Only able to play games while underclocking. at normal speed it will reboot after a while.

After so many post I've been through, I can see that you all can easily clock your HD4850 to 700/1100.
I'm using Catalyst 8.12 downloaded from official website, and max I can go is like 680/1020 like that only.

I'm using:
Q6600 @ stock
G31M-ES2L @ F4 bios
Corsair XMS2 800 4GB @ stock
CM Extreme 500w
Vista Ultimate 32bit

So I'm wondering is it my PSU not enough to give power if I wanted to clock the card, as well as the other hardwares?

a pencil mod or more hardcore vmod will make it to a good chip
