Can't say I haven't stopped enjoying it  First time I'm actually playing a P2P MMO, so far no regrets
My response might be a bit biased but that's only because to me the game is actually really good, there's quite a bit of depth to gameplay too, not just mindless button mashing.
Level 15 and I haven't really grinded much, been doing quests all the way up to level 15, can't say much for the later levels but there are tons to do once you hit level 30 which is the current level cap. Out of the three you mentioned I'd say questing would be the most fastest means of leveling 

GailExoduSx - OK , I've made a Sorcery / Healer.

mz2020 & N30rang3r - You can get to Level 30 in about 20 hours non-stop. I got to 30 doing 3 Alerts (instances), bout 6 Bounties (mini bosses) with a group and questing all the way. I even have some left over Level 28 quest which I have yet to finish. Questing helps you level, grinding in this game gets you practically no where, coz the exp you get per kill is nonsense. Plus the quest helps with you and your mentors storyline. And as for bugs, PC version, I've yet to encounter anything, or maybe I'm just too busy with the action. I'd also recommend using a gamepad, a PS3, PS2 or xbox one will do just fine.

Villain or Hero?   
All powers have damage roles as alternates, if you want to play as a team though, Fire & Ice = Tank, Nature & Sorcery = Healer, Gadgets & Mind = Controller
Also, you're not restricted to a weapon choice as you can change it anytime by equipping a different weapon after a certain level, 6 if I'm not mistaken. So don't worry about what fighting style to take in the beginning

You'll be then redirected to buying the game, which is USD$49.99, enter credit card/debit card information. You wont be charged on your subscription till your first month is up though so you can always cancel your subscription. Choose whatever subscription you want although in my opinion the most value is in the 3 month subscription cos its like 25% off or something.
After that download the launcher, login and you should be able to download the game .

Any chance of starting a char on Zero Hour (PvE) server? 

Retail versions of the game are hard to come by in Malaysia, I'm talking from experience here. Although there are some places but still they overprice it by a lot and most just bring in the Collecters Edition, so your'e better off buying a digital copy.. Retail copies so far I've seen 190 at that CK shop in Subang Avenue but last I checked he/she was restocking for a week and nothing..

CD key is included with a retail copy, if you buy online you'll get an activation code which is the same thing, tie it with you're account, if you buy from SOE.com you won't have to have a hassle doing all that, just sign in with your account and purchase using that account to activate it. Simple and easy that 1 month/3 months stuff is the subscription period. You HAVE to subscribe to at least one of it, you won't be charged so you can cancel it before you're first free month, which you get when you buy you're cd key/activation key/account, is over.

If you mean does the game have instances then yes. Regarding the high level tanking for lower levels I think it's should be fine as long as the lower level initiates the quest, because grinding gets you no where.

gets no where means?

Meaning mobs don't give you sufficient EXP to call it grinding, it's very quest/raid/pvp based so you'll be doing those more than grinding most of the time.

Yeap mobs drop weapons and and armor and they scale just like WoW equips where there are Legendary drops and so forth. Weapons are usually obtained by doing quests though and can easily be bought later in the game by doing a few pvp's or raids.

Some tips for newbie, if u ever go to any instances which fight boss, DONT drink any health pots / use power that is chargeable and avoid death.(the best is get another friend join u there) . reason is if u dun do those, u will at least get 20 feats point each instances and that mean couple more skill points for u after u hit lvl 30.

i dun think u can re-do the feats iin that instance again if u ever do those 3 stuffs above. Currently my skill pts are at 48, and i hv dual weild, bow, handblaster , brawling and martial arts. Majored on dual weild and the other is jz for their + attritbutes. My toon name is UncleFarker(lvl 30 Fire Villian) at Death n glory server and Ariesse(Lvl 30 Gadgets Hero) at Cry For blood. most of the time ill be using my new toon unclefarker, so feel free to pm me in game

No only EU and US but you don't have to worry as there's almost zero amount of lag even in PVP

so far so good. and i'm on streamyx 1mb.

I dont think there's a different DVD for US or EU, the version can be picked from the launcher. They do have different patch sometimes.

Anyway Which servers are you guys playing? Me and my buddy looking for more group for raiding. Might even consider moving to a new server if we have to.

Me and GailExodus are on Zero Hour PVE server. He should be about Lvl 30 by now (Mental, Controller), and I'm 25 (Sorcery, Healer) both Villains.
