The game from what i heard is actually better and more polished then CO and COX. The launch impression is almost perfect with no complaints coming in by the hundreds on the first day. A suprising event that most MMO's these days don't ussually have on the first day. Plus have been watching a ful walkthrough of it on youtube by Totalbiscut, from what i see its as good as it gets from a superhero gerne for MMO. The controls are tight, the graphics are sharp, the gamplay is actually fun, the map is huge, the variety is even better then CO.
The only downfall at the moment is the end game content is somewhat non existent or easy. You can max everything at 2-3 weeks depending on how much you play. But on its first time out, for an MMO, its already a miracle no major issues of the game has been reported or trolled out.
And yes, gorillas carry pistols, if you never read a DC comic then you have not even considered even heard of the Flash or Gorilla Grod. So your argument is voided.
If you want something new and not having to regret it for being a piece of crap. Then this might be an option for you. If you have already been suckered into buying the NEW FINAL FANTASY ONLINE, then you will will happily find this a way better buy then that con job title.
Its a fun game to play, but don't expect content as huge as WOW. Only an idiot will compare content amount of any game to WOW. 2 weeks to ? years?

Please if got buddy key can i have it? I have seen so much of the game that i rally want to play it. If you have to wait i give you this link to see. Its everything you will ever know during beta. So have a nice time viewing this guy, he makes alot of good points about how this game is done just right. Its not the most amazing thing you will ever see, but you get to play a action packed game compared to the a click and act game. He got me very interested in the game and start to question every click and act game ever. http://www.youtube.com/user/TotalHalibut#p...7/1/rAZ3vc1b_v0This post has been edited by meetxj9: Jan 14 2011, 08:09 PM

I can't say much about the ps3 version. Most online players here i think are pc users. You might want to contact SOE about that.

Playing like a charm. From what i hear it has some weird bugs but i don't seem to see it. Might be driver related. And for got sakes if you buy the PC version, restart your PC first before playing. It does clear up alot of lag if you do.

This game rocks, i have been playing it for 2 days already. The combat is the main attraction for me because it actually feels like im doing something while mashing buttons. Watch out for hyperspeed gankers, they will run towards you and fuuck you over. Always stand on top of the highest buildings to see who is where to gank. FUN FUN FUN FUN!!!! Hoping for more content and patches very soon. I want to see them introduce a chapter related event where it involves everyone. Maybe include the INFINITE CRISIS thing . If they keep doing something like that, im sold for life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-5wKVxbWtECheck this out, its funny as hell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejT50PYKdas&feature=relatedNow this is weird. The end boss.......................is an egg. This post has been edited by meetxj9: Jan 19 2011, 08:29 PM

Glad your enjoying yourself~ This is something SOE can actually be proud of for once. Given their bad record. This game is the new foundation for the next gen of MMO's, including Vindictus if you can actually play it. The developer really though of things properly, the only backdraw i see now is ofcourse content. Many reviews have already been given about this. Some are pretty stupid, there was a review complaining about it not being like a traditional MMO from Gaintbomb i think. Which made me criticize their way of listing things. It was more of a personal attack then a review. I can see this game growing to become a behemoth on its own without even touching WOW or the other contenders. As long as they keep to their promise of making content for this game every month, COX and CO can bite the dust. On the up note, when you reach lvl 30, PVP will be somewhat of the only thing you do. Until they figure out how to compensate for the lvl cap. And balance certain powers, some are kinda redundant. But yeah, this is one of the best mmo launches in game history with so little server problems and client. They made the smart move to not host too many servers a start, WAR made that mistake at first and now is paying for it.

We don't have many players because either they are still grinding on Cata or they don't even know this exist. I was pretty skeptical at first too when i saw the gameplay from the first release footage from SOE. But after hearing and seeing the final product, i am convinced that this game is not another dead end. AOC, TR, AION, WAR are fine examples of an MMO gone wrong on the first day. However DCU does not suffer from any of the problems these previous games had. It had strong start, minimal complaints, and kick ass graphics and animation. COX and CO is nothing compare to this. There is actually a sense of dimension in combat, which beats the "stand where you are and lets see who beats the crap out of the other first while mashing hotkeys" concept. The game will not take off fast since many are too accustom to fantasy MMO's. http://www.tentonhammer.com/dcuo/reviewDo not read any other review except this, its as close as you will get from a proper review. These guys are well not for being dicks sometimes and strict about their views. This post has been edited by meetxj9: Jan 25 2011, 03:41 PM

TOR is kinda a big gamble. No real news besides videos of PVP and classes from them. There have been rumors flying around that the studio is a little worried about the game. Stating that the only pitch and enjoyment of the game is the Brand itself. I saw a couple a week ago and they were pretty...........static. Imagine WOW but with really bland characters and limited skill options. I might be wrong, the only way to judge TOR would be from the full client. My expectations of TOR at the moment is kinda non-existent after playing DCU. Nor would i consider going back to WOW anytime soon, i have enough of farming and grinding using solely hotkeys with no skill required. If the DCU developers are smart, they will take advantage of the sudden unexpected success of the game to keep pushing in content and patches. Hurray for SOE for making a game that is actually playable. Now make sure it stays that way!!

FF14 is an abomination from hell~ Its one of the only games last year that gets bashed left and right on the very first day. And all their complaints were true about it, lesson learnt, never expect anything from an ASAIN MMO. They showed videos and other samples of the game via youtube, all pretty much character combat and classes, but they never did explain in detail what was in the game aside from the flashy intro and branding. Hence why i waited for 2 weeks before even considering buying it.
It is proven already that the UI in DCU is pretty retarded, and makes PC gamers feel uncomfortable while playing it. Something i believe SOE can fix pretty easily in the future. As usual, it all about wheter SOE plays their cards right.

It would seem SOE was kinda smart, they had been hiding tons of stuff behind the game from us. And not the bad kind. Today they released a video showing us what happens at the end game when you reach LVL cap. Apparently, there is much more then just PVP. http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/01/26/dc-un...objectid=754948This came to a surprise since none of this content was ever announced at all. Making it a big surprise for end gamers. The raids are superb, and amount of contents seems to be coming as the weeks go by. DO remember that SOE made a promise to players stating that every month will be an update and content month. And anything is possible given the large DC lore. Kudos to them for actually making things right for once in their life.

Welcome bro!!!
I think we need to clarify which server has the most Malaysians in it. Don't worry, your download will finish quite fast, their server is surprisingly stable and downloads fast if you have a big connection.

If you hate doing those types of quest then you should not even be playing MMO's. Name one MMO that did things differently when it comes to quest. Cause every game in existence, not including MMO's, are like that. Even RPG's, Action games, all require you to do something similar. The only difference here is that DCU is fun enough to make you forget about it.

Yup, even 5 days can reach max lvl. If you consider that grind, then you should not even be playing MMO's.... Do you know why most people are playing it besides it being a good game? They want to lock their superhero names in before anyone else gets it. This post has been edited by meetxj9: Jan 31 2011, 04:22 PM
