Just a quick question, let's say I buy a retail CD for the PC, there's a key included in it for one account right? Can I buy a seperate key online and use the same CD to install? a bit confused on this whole $49.99

If I get a retail copy will I still have to patch 12gb worth of data? That's one of my main gripes about getting a digital copy, also how do you guys pay for the monthly subscription, prepaid cards, or do creditcards/debitcards work without having to put in a US address? Can I use a malaysian station account with the retail copy and to purchase subscriptions?

Can see this game is kinda dead among Lyners XD anyway if you guys wanna quest/raid together, I'll start a player list going I guess. Took the format from the PS3 thread

Bought the game for 50 USD from SOE, and subscribed to Legend Pricing which is a discounted price for 3 months, approximately RM90 so all in all payed around RM 240 for 4 months of game time, you can keep the discounted pricing of 3 months if you keep to that subscription before it runs out. US servers seem to be the most appealing to us Malaysians in terms of latency so yea go for US

Sure! First go to https://account.station.sony.com/reg/primar...n?theme=station to register for a SOE account if you don't already have one.
Then go to http://www.dcuniverseonline.com/en/buynow/ , click on the US flag, click on station store then click on PC and click buy now.
You'll be then redirected to buying the game, which is USD$49.99, enter credit card/debit card information. You wont be charged on your subscription till your first month is up though so you can always cancel your subscription. Choose whatever subscription you want although in my opinion the most value is in the 3 month subscription cos its like 25% off or something.
After that download the launcher, login and you should be able to download the game .

Can't say I haven't stopped enjoying it First time I'm actually playing a P2P MMO, so far no regrets
My response might be a bit biased but that's only because to me the game is actually really good, there's quite a bit of depth to gameplay too, not just mindless button mashing.


Level 15 and I haven't really grinded much, been doing quests all the way up to level 15, can't say much for the later levels but there are tons to do once you hit level 30 which is the current level cap. Out of the three you mentioned I'd say questing would be the most fastest means of leveling

Villain or Hero?

All powers have damage roles as alternates, if you want to play as a team though, Fire & Ice = Tank, Nature & Sorcery = Healer, Gadgets & Mind = Controller
Also, you're not restricted to a weapon choice as you can change it anytime by equipping a different weapon after a certain level, 6 if I'm not mistaken. So don't worry about what fighting style to take in the beginning

Affects storyline in questing and some end game equips

Retail versions of the game are hard to come by in Malaysia, I'm talking from experience here. Although there are some places but still they overprice it by a lot and most just bring in the Collecters Edition, so your'e better off buying a digital copy.. Retail copies so far I've seen 190 at that CK shop in Subang Avenue but last I checked he/she was restocking for a week and nothing..

CD key is included with a retail copy, if you buy online you'll get an activation code which is the same thing, tie it with you're account, if you buy from SOE.com you won't have to have a hassle doing all that, just sign in with your account and purchase using that account to activate it. Simple and easy that 1 month/3 months stuff is the subscription period. You HAVE to subscribe to at least one of it, you won't be charged so you can cancel it before you're first free month, which you get when you buy you're cd key/activation key/account, is over.

Approximately RM 150 from SOE without hassle, or you can go to Amazon.com and get it for a few RM cheaper

Yea well I didn't find that a huge issue maybe that's why I didn't notice in the first place lol, maybe because energy is used for "Breakouts" as well which takes away 1/4 of you're energy bar when you use it

I had that problem too yesterday, seemed to work again after I reset my connection

If you mean does the game have instances then yes. Regarding the high level tanking for lower levels I think it's should be fine as long as the lower level initiates the quest, because grinding gets you no where.

Meaning mobs don't give you sufficient EXP to call it grinding, it's very quest/raid/pvp based so you'll be doing those more than grinding most of the time.

Yeap mobs drop weapons and and armor and they scale just like WoW equips where there are Legendary drops and so forth. Weapons are usually obtained by doing quests though and can easily be bought later in the game by doing a few pvp's or raids.
