LYN only for genuine things and console only..No modded please...sorry This post has been edited by GamersFamilia: Jul 1 2008, 09:53 PM

Yes you still can play original titles on your modded 360. Since it is modded however, you should watch out for 2 things:
1) Going online can be risky. Microsoft has been known to ban users with modded machines who log onto Xbox Live.
2) System updates. Microsoft (and Sony and Nintendo) releases periodic firmware updates for its console. These updates may not be compatible with your modded firmware resulting in a bricked (i.e. dead) 360. Make sure you check whether the firmware update is compatible with the modded firmware you have before upgrading. Note that upgrading is compulsory to play titles released with the new firmware in mind, so you can't really avoid updating your machine indefinitely.
As to playing original Xbox titles what you need to do is to go to Xbox.com and check the backwards compatibility page. You need to download some software, burn it onto a CD, and install it on your 360. The site provides you with all the necessary instructions. This will let you player Xbox titles.

Halo 1 and 2 are the only titles that don't require the additional software to be downloaded. Anyway all the details are at the site.

i got few questions. 1)about the update only the original 360 games may results a dead 360 ya?
2)the burning the cd and installing it on the modded 360 to play previous xbox games. When you install the it on the modded 360 games will it make the 360 crashes or will it work just find?

As long as the Xbox game you're trying to play is an original disc, you don't need to worry that much. If you were trying to play Halo 2 on the 360, by all means, please do. The 360 is able to play Halo 2 straight off from the first time, without ever needing to update the backwards compatility software. So far, all of the Xbox games I own are already included in the compatibility list... except Rallisport Challenge 2. Why Microsoft didn't bother updating a Microsoft published game is beyond me.

IINM, Halo 1 & Halo 2 don't require an update to play on the 360. Just load and play.
