Ya.. I went there yesterday.. The people incharged there advice me not to adopt the kittens as they suffered from various diseases. I might consider to take 1 home and take it to the vet. Who knows they might be cured. smile.gif
*
that's what SPCA need, a people like you smile.gif adopt the cat/kitten than bring to vet before going home smile.gif

happy adopting friend rclxms.gif

so KIND~~~... i wish i could do that... but seem not enough money to pay for myself...
so... it is hard for me to take care the wild animal...
*
lucky its not like 100 strays need help here eheheh.. just small number...

there's even one lost kitten last time, scratching my door around midnight. i freak out.. tongue.gif guess what, he is a loyal kitten now smile.gif very very loyal... that's why i like saving or rescue kitten/cat because they appreciate me and their life better. when ever i walk around the house.. they will come and great you although you are no longer keep them. i always touch by a cats rather than a human around me. weird...

i have 3 orphan cat that i raise since 10 days all right... they are are still with me.. this 3 orphan are so different than other of my cats... they thank you for saving their life, and didn't ask more than that. it is ok for them if i didn't attend them.. all 3 brother and sisters has the same behavior and attitude, they don't complaint much, they eat whatever you gave them..... different from my other cat, if i didn't accompany them, they will become so "mengada-ngada" eheheheh..

arhhh! thank you sidergirl  thumbup.gif
but my kitten have already spoiled by my sister who keep feeding Brownie with some ayam goreng and scramble egg this few days and i know its not healthy.  doh.gif
but i think its still not too late to change Brownie's appetite erh?

what do u guys suggest of cat foods kibble brand for kitten?
*
at the moment i think the suitable one is Iams kitten with minimal budget ehehehe..

KL royal canin price will increase next week.. increase by 30%. Malacca also i heard increase next week 30%. Iams increase alil bit about rm5-10 since last 2 months. You can also go for Science Plan Kitten (which is vet recommend).

bahah! i think for a moment with my financial, its the best to feed Brownie with Iams laugh.gif
thank you for ur advise elfreakzĀ  notworthy.gif
just be careful not to buy the repack version... some of them are the one from expired one. .they repack it so you think its new + cheaper.

buying bigger pack will save your money, and it last longer. 3.63kg of iams kitten is about RM66. 10kg of iams kitten is rm132.. you can see the different right... if your cat eat 3.63kg a month, and right now you have RM150, why don't buy 10kg for RM132, and it will last for 3 months smile.gif but this is your choice smile.gif i prefer buying in big pack.

if you only have 1 cat, why not get the super premium or premium smile.gif

I saw the trial pack of Iams. only RM5.40 if im not mistaken. is that dont u think?

Super Premium of Premium? Izzit the one of Iams product?
*
no no.. that one is trial pack...

repack = they take out the food, and pack it in transparent plastic bag with no labels and expiry date.

super premium and premium.. lets make it simple and call it premium food smile.gif such as royal canin, eagle pack, iams, proformance, science plan, evolve, blackwood, etc etc.. all this food cannot be found in supermarket, but only petshop...

if you want super premium (but expensive), such as innova evo and orijen smile.gif

any premium is good, they contain "LESS" grains.
super premium "do not" contain any grains, they have all 100% meat/chicken, that's why expensive.

i see i see. thank you thank you for the zine link!

but do have any idea, whereabouts to find this Super Premium cat food here in subang jaya?
*
maybe can try petshack.. hmm else Ikano Power Centre Pet Safari...

just to let you know Innova Evo and Orijen the 100% meat.. may spoil faster when exposed to open air. and some cat may not like it, and they get full stomach easily.

just now u mention iams trial pack, maybe can try that if you afraid your cat don't want it.

Can be cheap if its combine shipping. I don't mind spending less than RM100 for a flea trap. Quite dangerous having skipping parasites lurking around the house.

Did you know fleas is an award winning jumper in animal history??? YIKES!!!Ā  rclxub.gif
*
duh, last year i fight fleas by calling people to do inspection and spray all house. me and my cats are like spending night at friend house for like 3-4 days.

if you concentrate only on frontline should be a big problem if the fleas community is not as huge as my previous house last time.

after that spray process, than i know about frontline spot on. spot on can last for about 3 months on cat body what... if the petshop or vet said 1 month, for sure he/she asking you to buy more and more lerr..

You mean shouldn't be a prob, is it?

Hmm, correct me if I'm wrong, I thought typical spot-ons (Frontline or Zodiac) will only last for 30 days max. That's why they sell monthly supplies online. You can't use it more than once in a month though. That's why fleas treatment is done monthly.

[attachmentid=542892]

[attachmentid=542894]

[attachmentid=542896]

Well, I'm sorry if its a wrong fact.
*
sorry for the missunderstand..

this is what i'm trying to say

1 pack of spot on contains 3 tubes. 1 tubes can stay for 4-6 weeks on cat body. so 3 tubes is for like 12-18 month usage.

just buy frontline, its recommended by any vet, i don't think zodiac is available in malaysia. i found johnson brand thought.

1 pack of spot on is about RM47-49. better buy in malaysia. not sure ebay selling the original one or cetak rompak, not sure if they sell the new one or expired. if anything happen, you can sue the vet tongue.gif if ebay? you sue ebay? tongue.gif

Aha, I see...no wonder. I'm used to buying it individually cos 'cheaper' or is it just my scroogey behavior? Must be from my dad's side.

Moving on, I'm facing with another issue. Yesterday I found 5 larvae on my cat's water dishes. It looks like jentik2 (mosquito larvae) but its not really twitching. Was so pissed at my maid, cos she doesn't do a good job on cleanliness. But the water does look clean though. I have two water dishes, on the table (for Hitam) and under table (for Oren). But strangely, the one on top is larvae-less.

After I threw out the water earlier, suddenly this morning...i found ONE larvae...the same one. Showed to my dad, he said its not jentik2 (mosquito larvae). So what was it?

Two suspects, either...

1) Mosquitoes larvae
2) Fruit flies larvae

As I google around, I wasn't alone on this.

<<Tiny White Worms in my Cat's Water>>
<<Cat Water Bowl has Worms>>

and possible culprits...is
<<What my vet says...>>

I wish I took the pic, but I forgot. I'm not gonna be at my parents house for the next 2 weeks, but meanwhile, I need solution! Poor cats. I read in the article saying I've to bleach the water fountain. Hmm??
*
yaiks! scary lah spidergirl! better clean up the mess... I stay at tasik selatan... last week, 3 kids kena denggi, so the entire week about 4PM they will start fogging floor by floor. normally before this fogging kat ground floor je.. scary...

Afraid that one day, they come and check and found that thing... you juga susah... bahaya tu.

i just checked my kitten
1st already open two eyes thumbup.gif
2nd only open one eye and the other i clean and it got some yellow water like when u wake up from sleep but it didn't open yet  not like the 1st & 4th  when i cleaned all their eyes already opened  blink.gif
3rd non of eyes open  sweat.gif
4th all eyes open thumbup.gif
I wanna ask is the 2nd and 3rd are they have a problem in their eyes?

Shall i keep clean all the kitten eyes including the opened eyes one?

shall i help the 3rd and 2nd kitten to open their eyes
there is one of the kitten his mouth is not clean got something black black around his mouth like when u eat an oily burger and the oil come around your moth  sweat.gif he got the same but it is a bit black, what is it? is it dangerous ?is it ok if i clean it ? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

for the eyes, yes just wipe it with clean water. make sure around the eyes has nothing on it. sometimes dry "tahi mata" can make it hard to open. so you need to clean that. don't open it first. let the nature do it. not all kittens open their eyes at the same time. some early as 6-7 days, some took after 10 days or more. unless if you see such weird behavior that took 20 or more days not open, so you try to open it.. not to hard ya smile.gif slowly.

as for the mouth, im not sure what you trying to say... like what black? dry black skin? black water? black spot? inside mouth or outside? inside must be pink.. the the gums is black, some cat do have this smile.gif due to black genetic.. even the pink paws and pink nose sometimes turn black smile.gif

i am havening 1 question that since my cat gave birth inside my room and am bit scared of male cat becouse last time people warned me that male cat is a bit dangerous on the kitten,so most of the time i sit with my female cat inside my room and the male cat is always meawing with long voice like he is a bit boring, before he used to enter my room but temporary  of time he is not coz  i scared he will do something bad to kitten, what shall i do, just ignore his screaming which i really hurt me or just let him sit in my room and take the risk  since he is a bit big and strong cat
*
yep i did mention before other cat might become "danger" to small kitten. and also the mother will not be comfortable other cats coming towards their kittens.

that is the reason why cage become very handy at this point. the bigger the better. if you do not have cage, or do not have intention to buy any, just keep your kitten this way... but remember, when they grew 1 month plus, they become very hyper active... they will start crawling all around the house.

if you want to buy cage, the 3 tier cage is a good one smile.gif bigger smile.gif but ofcourse they cannot climb from one tier to another yet.. but they will when age 2 months a both smile.gif

ok for the cage is it have to be for the mother and kitten? or for the male cat?
how for long does the mother will give brest feeding to the kitten
*
ofcourse for both mother and kitten. because kitten will need milk from the mother right. you can take out the mother maybe 2-3 times a day, to let her roam around the house.
its very hard to tell when they stop milking. some stop at around 2-3 months. some even milking until 5-6 months. all depends on mother and the kitten. some mother reject their kitten early.. some kitten reject their mom early.

can the flees seen by eyes, becouse lastime i used front line for almost 6 month with the fleas shampoo, how to know if my cat got fleas or no....?
*
only used that product if your cat has fleas. but stop using it if they don't have any. not too much of chemical thinggy on your cat body... the instructions even tell you how much you can use on certain weight.

you can use the fleas comb.. comb them, check the fleas, if you see white white thinggy it might be eggs.. adult fleas sometimes stick on the comb or fall on the floor... so do this on a bright color tiles or on white paper.. if your tile is dark color, for sure cannot see... if you do it on carpet.. even worst tongue.gif fleas love carpet so much eheheh

do anyone know a place to get custom made cage, with nice price, am looking for cage for my mummy cat and kitten
*
like made from wood is it? you can get wood, but not sure if the shop can do it for you. they only help to cut it. maybe you can draw the draft first with measurement.

but why don't you buy a cage? 3 tier cost below RM280. don't get the dog cage - its more expensive.. why buying? because the one that sell in petshop, you can fold it and keep it to save space when you do not need to use it anymore. you can easily sell it back as second hand. if you custom made using wood, its very hard to move from one place to another, and cannot fold.

which is better?

to adopt from animal shelter or just pick random stray cats?

having doubts. my fren said better pick stray cats but i heard at spca they will put the cats to sleep.
*
adopt from shelter = you need to give some small amount of money.... this money will help other cats. yes if there's nobody want that cats, they will be put on sleep cry.gif

adopt stray = you adopt for free smile.gif almost the same as shelter but other stray won't benefits from your adoption. they will not be put on sleep ehehehe but will be living in the human society as day and night watcher wink.gif

there's not better one actually.. both is good in its own way icon_rolleyes.gif
