i know how u feel.. even if it soft poo even worst. thats why you need to make sure the poo is not too soft, so it wont stick to the fur. if the poo is hard, it won't stick as much as soft poo. need to spend more time cleaning them with wet towel...then avoid fans, else they will become so cold and sick.

slowly your kitten will stop playing in litter box. that is so normal for kitten age 1 month to try new things, even some will play with the poo like playing balls. some even eat the sand

how do you use litter anyway?

For sure you need to scoop the poo and pee everyday. Thats why clumping type if good. so you can remove/scoop the stool and pee only and leave the non dirty. Then add new one inside.

You do not have to put the whole pack inside the litter... 5cm height is ok already. and keep the others for the next used.

If you use the cheap on, non-clumping, this one very hard.. thats why the smell will be there forever. unless you throw the whole thing.

Lastly, you cannot eliminate the whole smell, there will always be smell. you can only reduce it, by scooping the dirty one everyday. I do mine 3-4 times a day.

I'm using Fussie Cat Litter Clay Sand with the smell of Lemon.

You buying this at supermarket is it? i think i saw purina at supermarket, can't remember tesco, giant, carrefour... else you buy CATSAN (blue pink color), giant ada, carrefour ada this one not bad too

you can get clumping clay litter at the petshop... some of them, have demo on it. normally 10L pack about rm18 above.

for 1 cat 10L pack can use more than 1 month.

oh sorry CATSAN has no smell i think... but its clumping type this is the clumping type that's easy to find.

you don't have to put the whole pack.. just 5cm enough.. and if 1 cat, i think once a day pun ok. since they won't poo and pee much.

errkk yes you can clean the mommy with wet towel... as long as you can handle her

hmmm i was wondering, your cat give birth on the floor? or in box? if in box, you just need to change the newspaper or towel, 1 time every 2 days. but from your story its like your cat labor on the floor? if on floor, just wipe or mop with water, if you want to use dettol, please move away the mother and kitten from that area first. mop with dettol, and re-mop again with normal water.

its not because of the dettol, but because of the smell.. some fussy cat will change the place if something weird going on with that place, like new smell... she already make a territory under that table and labor over there, suddenly everything change smell.. she might move away from there. so hopefully your cat is not fussy type

have to wait for 2 more month at least. but while waiting, try to check out the adoption thread, i think there are some kittens.

if i were you i do not dare to mix around other animal with cats. even cat and cat fight.

cats are very unpredictable. they can be very nice at one point. even when you play and pat them, they will sometime scratch you.

remember, cats are originally from the Lion, Tiger, Chetah, etc etc family they are a good hunter, and very good in catching preys (bird, mice, bugs, etc.)

and im afraid your guinea pigs will feel more stress to see cats

sava.. hmm my friend tried this before.. from the back pack ingredients and nutrition.. it look similar to smart heart or something. its cheap right.. if im not mistaken 10kg for RM90+. I will go for Proformance or Blackwood still..

some one told me it is made from singapore.. im not sure where is this brand originally from...

that's normaly. mother need to have their own good time too as long as when the kitten scream, she come and feed them. as long as she come and see her kitten than it's alright.

but if she leave it, even the kitten cry, she didnt come, then something wrong. there's one point that, a cat will know her kitten is not in good health, and will leave the kitten without care for them. i have seen this thing before, example, there's 3 kitten, and i was feeling weird that she love 2 of the kittens, and always neglect another one. so i check that kitten and found out that she is not perfect (cacat - cleft palate or sumbing - there's a hole in between nose and lips that make this kitten having hard time to suck her mom nipples)... the mother didnt attend much on this kitten, and the kitten died on her 4th day (kitten can't even survive with my care, since she have a hole inside the mouth, when ever she drink the water come out from her nose). some of my friends face almost similar problem too... they saw the mother like not attending the kitten for some reason which they don't know.

if you do research on the net, alot of people face this thing too.. and they believe, a mother will leave their kitten if they know something going to happen to it.

but for you case, i think its ok, as long as she come to the kitten when they scream for milk

you can deworm a kitten starting age 6 weeks. Then another one when 8 weeks. Then 12 weeks. after that you can do it every 3 months or 6 months.

for kitten, they will give syrup type. you can buy this deworm syrup from petshop or vet. example like the TROY brand. but you need to weight your kitten first, 1mL per kg. if you do not sure, then just let the vet do it for you.

yep the ingredients is more towards corn meal, wheat, etc. not much on meat actually. i did ask some other cat lovers, they don't even know about this product im not sure how it can survive in malaysia, since whiskas, friskies and smartheart name is so big.

you should just stay with orijen and eagle pack if im Oren, i will be mad if you change it too sava

I cannot go to the vet all the times, so buying that, i can give it by myself. just by the "penimbang" to weight your cat.. i use the one to bake cakes.. the cheap cheap penimbang eheheheh

since sava is in the same group with smartheart, whiskas, friskies, for sure all cat loves it so much. include my cats.. i have tested it before.. gosh they love junk food so much! but i do not want to give too much, i'm afraid they will start begging for it, and leave the kibbles that i bought before. oh well.. cat can be very fussy eater.

i think oren is similar to my sky. sky only eat specific wet food, but i forgot which one, i mean which fish type. i seldom buy wet food. i give them chicken and meat half cook... they love the raw so much, and sky will follow me if i run away with the raw meat i have to half cook it, yet still love it, cos the juice is still available
