reports have been going out all this while......it all depends on how ppl 'react' to it.....if everyone is panicking then for sure market will go down but i'm sure there's be somebody out there waiting for this chance to pounce n invest or add their portfolio......

just dun think only in one direction....just my 2 cents......

Personally....i'm nt doing anything yet....just stay on the sideline, monitor, evaluate n reposition....

Well, the CI is also clouded with political instability, that's what makes investor sentiment very bearish. With Anwar being accused, and later claimed he has 4 MPs ready to jump ship, it's really beginning to scare foreign and local investors alike. The market doesn't like uncertainties.

Meanwhile, we saw soaring food prices, almost everything went up. Inflation will also undermine our equity investments. That's why i said get out and maybe purchase other asset classes rather than Malaysia equities.

US warns against 'politically-motivated' probe


KUALA LUMPUR: Washington has warned Malaysia against any "politically-motivated" investigation or "prosecution" of PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

According to an AFP report, Tom Casey, spokesman for the US State Department, is quoted as saying:

"The main point for us is that the rule of law needs to stand above politics. And we would certainly oppose any use of law enforcement or judicial procedures for anything other than legitimate purposes of the law."

Adding that Anwar had faced similar charges in the past and his conviction was overturned, Casey added, "So, we would hope that there's not a pattern here.

"But, certainly, we would be concerned that anything that is done be done in a way that is appropriate, that is a legitimate investigation of charges that might exist under Malaysian law, and would not be anything that was a politically motivated investigation or prosecution."

i think it's fair to say that those nt intending to keep their shares for long term can cut losses now or profit taking sooner in view of the current bad sentiment.......

wat goes up....must go down again ehehhehee....last yr bull...tis yr bear....dunno how long it takes to start the bull again.....

Well, worst come to worst, we could see the market reaching the 200-point, but I bellieve the market will still find its way back up, even if there's a change of government. Let it take 10 years, 20 years or even 30 years, I am still young enough to live through 50 years of market turbulance I will still keep accumulating these coming years and when the bulls start raging, that's when the money starts rolling in

PBBANK is starting to look attractive at this price, anything below RM10 looks good

Below Rm10 still won't attract me or looks good to me to buy, (no offence), aim for much lower, if market does plunge in big way.

Jordy, you are really brave to be bottom fishing at this levels.

We are only at the second half of 2008. The pain is coming.

can opt for online trading mah. cheaper broker charges and when you out of country, save expensive telephone fees also
