Guys I just sent my car to the workshop to have the water-pump replaced.

I was quoted about near 300$ of bill.

breakdown is as follow:

1) Water Pump - $140 (not ori toyota)
2) Workmanship - $120
3) misc - <>$50 (pipe to be replaced, coolant, etc).

Is it too exp?

I reckon you can get an original water pump for that price right?

BTW my car is a Toyota AE101.

coolant + piping + water .... as per the quoted price, it seems reasonable. it depends which or how many pipe [hose] have been replaced. on the labour cost, i think it is a bit expensive. I spend mine at RM250 for everything. but i believe price varies for different cars.

my 4g15 water pump if not mistaken around rm100 from japan.
workmanship expensive.
MISC depends on how many bottle of coolant he pour inside the radiator tank? and wat brand. the hose depends on wat type or hose he using. made in japan or taiwan hose?

Workmanship - 100
Bypass hose - 17
Clips - 8
Coolant - 15

I go to this fella because he has those electronic gadgets to check/tune/etc my car..

Anyone in Penang can recommend a better one at a more reasonable price? I heard Northern Garage is not bad
