Im new to RS and i've just bought RS Premium... Im using RS Manager to download the RS file but it seems that the RSmanager only allow 5 simultaneous download at once.... I have DAP but i cant figure it out how to use with it as when i click on any RS download link in mozilla, i will be ask for "regular" or "accelerated" download where Accelerated = DAP. So if i click on Accelerated.. a download window will pop up and it seems that DAP only detect 17.4kb of the file and not the actual 200mb..... I've tried to download afew times with DAP but all end up 17kb file... can any1 help me on this?...

hmm ok i will try with IDM.. is there anythg i need to set for IDM to work with rapidshare premium? but IDM need to pay??? only can get 30days trial

ok it works with IDM... but i have crappy download speed with IDM... i tried simultaneous 4 files with IDM and only 2 files ~4kbps and another 2 is just ~500-700byte/s

is it i get crappy mirror from rapidshare??? in rapidshare setting i put all random server.... which is default..... do i need to specially choose server to get a better transfer speed in Malaysia KL???

i think u misread my sentense..... its 500-700 byte/s not kbps... haha.... im using zzzzz streamyx 1mb line.... which max download speed should able to reach 110kpbs only for my area........ but i get inconsistent and slow dl speed from IDM..... my RSmanager running 5 files too which is ~10kpbs each file so total ~50kbps there.... but my IDM 4 files total up not even over 10kbps... and the speed change very drastically

no not using any proxy.... is the freegate proxy really help? can define how much it can help? and how do i use freegate?? give some guide pls... thx

anyway u guys use IDM rite, have a few question here,
1. how many connection per file u all put?? 1,2,4,8 or 16??? (default 8)
2. how many simultaneous RS file u all run at once

is freegate 100% safe?? my threatfire detected malware for it.... wondering

so if my line is 1Mbps line which ~128KBps max..... after using freegate, possible to exceed 128KBps or will still within the range of 128KBps....

wat the..... i didnt even downloaded 3.7gb(17files) finish and it tell me i have exceeded my transfer limit, still have about 500mb for 3.7gb file finish...... 10gb daily right???

why is that so...??
what time will they reset the bandwidth??

but the problem here is.. i just use RS premium 1st day (yesterday) and i download some file.. let say "ABC" which is 3.7gb(divide into 17 parts).... this morning.... my download stop.... and it told me that i exceed my download limit.... it is impossible for me to exceed 10gb because:
1. i havent finish my 3.7gb download.... still have 500mb to go for complete

2. my line is 1Mbps where my max download speed is ~110KBps.... let say if i run at max 110KBps....... so by calculation, 1min = ~6.44MB, 1hr = ~386MB, 1day = ~9.063GB only.... which is totally and impossible to exceed my download limit 10GB....

3. if u all say maybe my line run faster than 110KBps, but i only have that 17parts which total of 3.7GB only, no other file in my IDM queue... so in a conclusion... i downloaded 3.2GB but my 10GB finish.......

i notice that they mention, if u use download manager and run multiple simultaneous download at once.... the downloaded size might be bigger... but i dont feel it is possible to have 6.8GB extra (balance of my 3.2GB i've downloaded)

now i still have 184MB traffic left..... but it wont even let me download 2MB file

i suspecting this is caused by freegate because:
1. 65.49.14.94 (and .95) location is in US, which belong to Huricane Electric Inc.
2. 65.49.14.94 is the 1 using all my downloads
i've quoted 2 picture, one is my traffic log and another 1 is detail of 65.49.14.94

anyway my downloads count isnt correct too:
Sat, 13. Sep 2008 60.50.86.154 2101854 KB
Fri, 12. Sep 2008 60.50.86.154 3937958 KB

i didn't successfully download that much at all which total of 6GB..... unless if i start download a 200MB file and cancel it when 0.1% then they count at 200MB... then maybe got that much.

anyway 65.49.14.94 is the 1 causing all the problem.... what about u guys who use freegate.... is ur traffic log normal???

with freegate = IDM near my 1Mbps line max speed which is 110KBps... no chance to exceed 110KBps.... vary around 90-100KBps.............
without freegate = IDM can achieve about about 70-80KBps at minimum

so i rather be on safeside... i still wondering the warning threatfire detect it as backdoor/malware which intrude my network.... maybe bcoz of proxy thg..... im not sure

nice speed u have... how i wish to have that.... but 200KBps still no fight with other country....

1 bad thg is broadband speed is very dependent on ur location(for same package comparison)... normally the nearer u are to the exchanged center the better ur speed is... but also there are alot more factor affecting ur speed..... such as ur port..... ur IP (server).... and etc......

no problem as im downloading since 8.30am and now still on going

found out streamyx 118.xxx.xxx.xxx give a hell crappy bandwidth this morning... RS speed max 35KBps... then i wonder why is that so and making me pissed off... so i decided to keep reconnect and reconnect until i get 60.xxx.xxx.xxx which is much much better or normal.... running at 100KBps now.. not incredible but at least i can dish out near my 1Mb line bandwitdh

if u all feel that ur speed is incredible fast or incredible slow then pls tell us here what is the IP.... so we can make a prevention for crappy IP and search for better IP

i wonder how u all can get like 200KBps, 500KBps, 1MBps, even 15MBps download speed...... and im wondering are u all using streamyx or other.....

do u all mind to post up some screenshot about that????

im using 1Mbps streamyx line and i only can get max ~100KBps in total only....... using IDM (8 connections per file and 2 simultaneous download) and RS premium...

since u mention it, then i'll talk about it a little
i feel very suspicious about freegate,
1. on the 1st day of my RS premium experience i tried to use freegate, when i download 3.7GB file (only manage to download 3.2GB and left 500MB), it use up my traffic 13GB, which is all of my traffic limit. So i've to wait another day.

2. and after immediately stop using freegate, my RS premium password is hacked, i found out when i check my traffic log and found suspicious IP adress, im staying in Selangor. At first i found this weird IP adress using my account where is it from Dungun, Terrenganu and i immediately change password after that but the problem still persist, after about 30 minutes another IP adress from Kuala Lumpur using my account.... so i change the password again at my friend computer and i reformat my laptop.....

3. it will be a little bit hard to put virus into my computer since im using Avira Premium Security Suite + Threatfire unless i permit it to go into my computer myself, but some virus still manage to enter my computer on that particular day. The only thing i suspect is freegate since when i try to use freegate, threatfire clearly warn me about some malware and throjan when i try to use freegate. It try to eject something into my system32 and send some data over internet and i allow it. Anyway i was only suspecting and no solid proof that freegate cause the whole havoc, after that incident i've never use freegate already and every back to normal.So i will never use freegate again anymore. so freegate user be extra aware.

4. the weird thing is that only my RS premium account being hacked. No other account are hacked such as online banking, MSN, game account and more...
