I'm interested in getting a premium rapidshare account.
Is it necessary to get a vpn service for max speed connection out from rapidshare?
Or rapidshare premium stand alone is more than sufficient/fast enough?
Other than that, another problem that stop me from purchasing the account is i don't know any downloading websites or links.
Anyone who kind enough to pm me *ahem ahem* ?

No more captchas - higher flexibility for premium-users

By eliminating the captchas we simplified the use of RapidShare's free services significantly. In addition, free-users can now upload and download bigger files (up to 200 megabyte). Anyhow, to protect RapidShare from congestion caused by automated downloading, we limited the maximum download speed for free‐users to 500 kilobit per second. To compensate for that, they do not have to wait anymore until starting a succeeding download.

Premium-users now profit from more flexibility regarding the download volume: It used to be limited to 10 gigabyte per day and can be "saved" now to a maximum of 50 Gigabyte. As a consequence, the volume that was not used is transferred to the following day automatically, up to a maximum of 50 gigabyte. If the complete download capacity is used up during one day, the premium-user is able to save another 10 gigabyte the following day.

Unfortunately it is not possible to tell you the exactly day. We are upgrading
our system by now. Please always inform yourself on our news side.

Every Premium Account receives 5000 MB traffic volume each day.
The maximum amount that can be collected is 30 GB.
Once you have reached the limit you have to wait until 00:01 CET of the next
day to receive the next 5000 MB. In certain circumstances your download volume
can be overdrawn. In this case the overdrawn amount is subtracted from the
next day credit.

Traffic Example:

Day 1 5000 MB New Account, no Downloads
Day 2 10000 MB No Downloads
Day 3 10000 MB 5000 MB has been downloaded
Day 4 15000 MB No Downloads

With the link "View Logs" in the premium zone you can see how much you have
downloaded on each day and from what IP-address.

If there are IP-addresses listed that you do not know, please change your
password (and maybe your e-mail address) in the premium zone using the link
"settings" and make sure that your computer and email-address are secure so
nobody could access your RapidShare-account.

This week we have completed the infrastructure upgrade with the result, that premium users can now enjoy full speed again. Also, we are able to allocate bandwith to free users dynamically: Depending on the overall traffic you can up- and download with up to 2,0 megabit per second. If it is crowded though, you might experience only 0,2 megabit per second, since we always put our premium users first.

Thus, we have raised the daily premium download traffic from 5 gigabyte to 10 gigabyte. Please keep in mind that it is still necessary to limit the maximum download speed for free users to protect RapidShare from congestion caused by automated downloading. To compensate for that, we already eliminated the waiting period before starting a succeeding download.
