I own a Squier Deluxe Strat that's in need of changing the strings, so I bought a set of ghs strings. Then I do the regular changing but then as I tighten the tuning pegs I've noticed that the bridge is like...leaning forward, like really high. I'm guessing due to the tightness of the pegs this is happening. Can anyone help me please? Thanks!

Open the backplate, there's 2 screws holding the claw so just tighten the screws.Else, add springs.

Change strings with the same gauge as the factory default ones.. normally D'addario .009... Some string brands have custom gauges ( Ernie Ball) and putting different gauges needs some intonation and trem adjustments...

Err...I guess I took 10 as the gauge. So all I need to do is just screw the 2 screws at the back or do I need to get new set of strings? Is there any adjustments I need to do if I want to keep the strings? Thanks!

For the meantime, just screw back and forth the spring claw plate until the trem is parallel with the body while tuning the guitar.. You will have slight intonation problems but it will not be very noticable... Change back to 009s next time and realign the trem again.
