Yo rossie, thanks again

Hmm, i was thinking about the Tuner (may it be Behringer or Boss), if I only turn on the tuner while tuning, and off it when playing.. There shouldn't be any effect on the tone right? I mean,
if the pedal is off, shouldn't it be like, erm, bypassed? Even if it's a tone sucking pedal ..?

Sorry still new at the stompbox thing..
Ahh.. Thanks for the volume pedal info too!
I plan to place the volume pedal right at the end of the chain , after all the effects, before the reverb, before going into the amp .. Like a normal volume pedal..
So may I know the "active" pedal is the High or Low impedance pedal, which one should I get in my case?
Anywhere around klang valley sells ErnieBall VPs ?

Most if not all BOSS pedals are electrically buffered bypass, which would mean there would be losses in the signal or artificial coloring of the signal which would cause tone "loss". True bypass means that the input and output are directly connected thus when there is no current flowing into the pedal it simply goes through the pedal as if it were a cable. Minimal tonal "loss" there.
Buffered pedals aren't necessarily bad, if you got a huge pedal board which consists mostly of true bypass its good to have a few buffered bypass pedals to strengthen your transmitted signal. Think many true bypass pedals as very long cables, there definitely are losses when your signal passes through them and the buffered bypass boosts your signal back close to where it should be, of course with some negatives, so its a win/lose situation and it really depends on what you put on your board.
Hope that helps and I didn't confuse myself =p
