To tech_frix, amir89, ameque, zhinsara, leh teck and all Gainward fans here,

Thanks for your vote of confidence and kind words. It's great to know we made the right decision to bring back Gainward to Malaysia. Thanks guys.

Since we are here, hope to gather some feedbacks from you all, who wants stock 4870 and who's willing to wait for custom made extreme OC 4870 (our Gainward Golden Sample brows.gif )?

Waiting time for Gainward custom made 4870, most likely early Aug. drool.gif

Just shot your requests or PM us if you need any clarifications.

Salute! notworthy.gif

As one of the disty for both NVidia and ATI, I would like to stress that things are NOT as simple as you all may think. There are too many variables: time of order, production delay, length time of stock arrival, exchange rates, logistics charges, financing costs etc.

In short, we can say there would NOT be any reduction of prices for 4850 and 4870 anytime within this month. In the first place, HD4850 should not be priced around RM650+ at all.

This is just to clarify for those who are planning to buy or budgeting for HD4850 or HD4870. As for 3850 and 3870, YES, these models have new costings, so it's a matter of who bring in the new stocks at new costs. drool.gif

Hope that helps. Thanks peeps. icon_rolleyes.gif

example: distro bought the stock for 600/pc , they can't just simply sell the same stock for 500/pc as soon as manufacturer announce the price cut, simple.

anyway, waiting games is good  biggrin.gif

Thank you bro for the common sense! rclxms.gif

Please think:

1. If unhealthy price war, sooner or later all distros will lingkup then who will bring in nice stuffs for you all.

2. Right now, our margins are already razor thin (unbelievable if we tell u) due to volume pressure and fast changing models. Eg. NOBODY follow ATI recommended price for the HD4000 series, it was rock bottom from day one. Further, most distros made heavy losses from selling old stocks. NVidia has NEVER provided price protection till recently for the GTX series. That too might take sometime to claim. cry.gif

3. Who can sell at cost/loss and yet provide service, checking, warranty, shipping to & fro Mfg for customers. If many distros close due to unhealthy competition, what do you think will happen (to models & prices) if only left 1-2 distros for VGA? Imagine your VGA dying on the 11th mth and you found out distro closed/no more carry. Do you have any idea how much it cost to courier your card to HK/China?

I could go on and on about the whole cut throat mobo & VGA biz, but you get what I mean: use common sense lar. Let us survive, so that everyone can enjoy good stuffs with reasonable pricing and good service too.

Cheerio! icon_rolleyes.gif
