example: distro bought the stock for 600/pc , they can't just simply sell the same stock for 500/pc as soon as manufacturer announce the price cut, simple.
anyway, waiting games is good

Thank you bro for the common sense!

Please think:
1. If unhealthy price war, sooner or later all distros will lingkup then who will bring in nice stuffs for you all.
2. Right now, our margins are already razor thin (unbelievable if we tell u) due to volume pressure and fast changing models. Eg. NOBODY follow ATI recommended price for the HD4000 series,
it was rock bottom from day one. Further, most distros made heavy losses from selling old stocks. NVidia has NEVER provided price protection till recently for the GTX series. That too might take sometime to claim.

3. Who can sell at cost/loss and yet provide service, checking, warranty, shipping to & fro Mfg for customers. If many distros close due to unhealthy competition,
what do you think will happen (to models & prices) if only left 1-2 distros for VGA? Imagine your VGA dying on the 11th mth and you found out distro closed/no more carry. Do you have any idea how much it cost to courier your card to HK/China?
I could go on and on about the whole cut throat mobo & VGA biz, but you get what I mean: use common sense lar. Let us survive, so that everyone can enjoy good stuffs with reasonable pricing and good service too.
Cheerio!
