QUOTE(goldfries @ Jul 11 2008, 06:28 AM) if your 8800GT can get 13k, surely your processor is like Quad-core or high speed dual-core. Yup. The scores for 3DMark06 is affected by the CPU score significantly. For example, after I OC'ed my processor to 3.6GHz, the GPU Test 1's average FPS increased by 10FPS, and my score jumped from 13.5k to 15.5k just by OC'ing the processor.that's the thing about 3dmark06. to compare properly, you must find out the other person's processing power. on my rig (E2140 @ 3.2ghz) the 8800GT get only 10962. Hmm actually I'm wondering about something here:- Why does the Powerplay don't downclock the GPU to something like 100/200? It should save more power consumption, rite?

QUOTE(OmniAtlas @ Jul 17 2008, 02:14 PM) wow, I don't know what happened. But after I enabled VSYNC, my FPS jumped. So if you're playing crysis, enable vsync for better performance. Yea, that's what Anandtech reported too last time. (No idea where's the article now). They reported that enabling Vsync will increase performance in DX10 modes for certain games.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Demonic Wrath: Jul 17 2008, 04:55 PM |

QUOTE 2 x 4850 in CF mode can destroy the 280 already...and you still have money left for 1 more 4850. Nothing to tok liao...overpriced and under performed. Yea, in some games.. But I think there'll be users that like single GPU configurations too.. QUOTE so i decided to play BF2..anyone notice how much the graphics suck with your new ATI card, lol, i think we are spoiled now in terms of graphics. Yup, after looking at Crysis, everytime I look at other games I get the-game-is-so-dated feeling.. But for some reason I still can withstand Diablo 2 and StarCraft's graphic haha..Enjoy playing both of them..especially when playing multiplayer. |
