Elite Beat Agent is my favourite! Really liked the humorous mission and the pop music

I really would like to try on Taiko no Tatsujin DS but it is in japanese

can electroplankton be considered as music game?

2 stylus? didnt know that.. i only tried once using L with 1 stylus... will try 2 stylus later...

taiko is a very fun game kekeke

Jam Session is not a game. It's piles. Avoid it like any other VD.

Jam Session is not MEANT to be a game.
It's meant to be a virtual instrument.
So you can't classify it as "a game"

simply hantam oni! i played taiko by just using common sense, it's quite simple really. using the buttons, small red drum means press any 1 of the buttons beside the screen. small blue drum means press either L or R. big red drum is press 2 buttons beside the screen at the same time and big blue drum is press L and R together. the rest is up to you to explore

it's a fun game, there are 3 levels, same song for each level with different difficulty. first one isn't too bad but the 3rd level is a nightmare even with buttons!

Anyone has tried the BAND BROTHERS DX?

comment: where did all the mario song go on Band Brothers DX ?!

DAIGASSO BAND BROTHER DX truly rocks! You can even sing on the microphone and hear your voice coming out from the speaker! Besides, the music is longer (~2 minutes) especially for the classcial song than it's predecessor. Try it if you're one of those jamming fans.

The WFC system is also implemented in this game. So you can just show off your jamming skill worldwide!

can you play it if you dont understand japanese?

Another musical game

i like Ouendan more that Elite Beat Agents despite it is in Japanese because it is the first and the music is cool plus the storyline it's funny

a few instruments to play with even on vocal ~ yah need to sing to ur ds

Finished it along with EBA.

So damm addictives, can't stop loooooooooooooooooving it.

Gonna try rock.

I felt the first better than the 2nd for ouendan's case. The 2nd felt slow. Humorous, but the taps don't feel too rewarding.

Trying to go on CHART No 1 band ~ play until Battery turn off yesterday

First try was quite blek
Second try was into it
Then NDSL turn off

This happen twice playing Pokemon
And now RR ..

I dunno why...

My hand/finger is tired playing RR.

Is it a sign to get a pen stylus?

Ouendan sounds promising, will get to it after finishing Taiko no Tatsujin.

im using a pencil and also another pen stylus , my hands really got darn tired when fast songs played lo
You using wad instrument as ur character in Career mode ?

Im using Based Guitar where u have to flick up and down for the song
Really get the hang of it after 2-3 songs played

PLUS! Mecha Taiko no tatsujin! dat one also terrer! I dun read Japanese and don't understand a single word. When there's a challenge from the guest, I just memorise the words and look for the same words from the playlist.

Haha... I think you guys have to read it agn to understand what I'm trying to say..

Maybe because its the way of playing and holding stylus is incorrect, making the hand painful and tired.

Finally finished Ouendan on all difficulty settings, worth every bit of the game.

Q4? What's a Q4? LOL. I heard there will be an english version of Rhythm Tengoku Gold. Is it true?



We can actually sing! But I bet there will be more Japanese songs compared to english. Anyone tried it? Care to discuss it a little here?

Q4 means quarter 4.. Means 4th quarter of the year.

And Rhythm Tengoku Gold is Japanese name, Rhythm Heaven is English name.

Gold because it's a sequel to the GBA version. Heaven cause it's entire new

Hope nothing changes in the English release, just a pure Japanese to English translation.

Yeah its just a different in language copy, i got the information from gamespot.com
And ive tried the singing part , but in the jap version , u have to sing in jap which i don't know how to pronounce

Hope in english version , it has at least some alphabetical words with the japanese songs requested to sing
And in Rock Revolution , you can sing too with english rock songs if u choose the band leader or character as a singer

Hey guys... I'm playing Ouendan 2 now. Somehow, while I was browsing through Youtube, I saw some players have this Insane stage and Hidden stage.

I'm now at the fourth stage where the female cheerleaders just made their appearance. Does the Hidden and Insane stage come later when I got higher level?

Btw, I've now unlocked 2 bonus stages. I checked Answers.com and they said there r 3 stages to be unlocked.

MUSIC MONSTARS is a really good musical game , nice music , goes with the effect of each buttons
Im really stuck into the game currenty , Dont pLay easy mode , is quite boring cos too easy
Go for the medium or hard mode , INTERESTING !

No ppl singing , just music but its superb fun cos it really follows the music with the effect of ur instruments
In 1 music piece , you have to Play 3 instruments , Piano , Guitar and Drums
But when you move further on the game some songs requires only certain instruments
Im now handling CAN CAN music
Play the medium mode >minimum

I've just finished finished music monstars on medium mode (can't play hard, it's crazy lol) ... already bored with guitar rock tour cuz I've finished medium and hard in both guitar and drums..

anyone play guitar hero: on tour decades? Thinking of getting it.. is it worth 60 US dollars? lol

THE DRUM mode is super cool ... which i prefer .. but the guitar is nice also

DRUM mode for tis game uses keypads which i prefer in some musical games

guitar rock tour,i like the guitar,drum is a bit boring for me,bcause only 2 notes and it looks easy actually its harder than guitar

is there a ds games thats similar DJ max?

Um am I allowed to mention a homebrew game?

Anyways, I'm currently playing Ultimate Band. Anyone tried it? It's not a bad game considering that it's by Disney lol Just that the song selection kinda sucks for the DS, and I don't really like the controls for the lead, base and rhythm guitars. It's got wifi connection but I've only tried the chat room.. not sure what else there is to do with the wifi (you need to register at dgamer.com but it doesn't allow registration for non US residents X.x)

I've tried Rhythm de Cooking (japanese only) and it's quite fun, but too easy and kiddy-ish lol

PS: I'd like to know too if there's a ds game similar to DJ max.. i played it on my friend's psp and got hooked

As far as i know and sort of tried many of these category games

The most similar ones and not too similar .. but a good recommendation to DJmax sort of feel for DS
is called Daigasso! Band Brothers (sort of similar) but yes its a must try

And the guitar rock tour drum mode but only 2+1 buttons mode.. not easy at all also similar to DJmax ...

Thats all i know lo.
The only thing i dont really like DJMAX these days cos after playing the songs which im aware of ... ENglish songs .. in DS rhythm games
Its kinda like Boring for DJmax cos all the songs are mostly songs i don't know and yet dont listen to ..( Personal Preference )

I just play the DJ Max Portable 1, the songs is pretty catchy.

Now I'm waiting for my GHOT

Daigasso! Band Brothers is 'kinda' similar to DJ Max but limited and kinda sucky 'midi' songs selection, but you can download the songs through wifi (original game only) so that's cool..

From what I've played so far, the closest I think to DJ Max would be Video Games Hero, a homebrew which I'm currently extremely addicted to. Not sure if there's any other else

There's a site that translates the Daigasso! Band Brothers menu, but I've lost the link. You might want to google it. The menu asks if you wanna sing karaoke, play the instrument or make your own music (always choose middle if you wanna play instrument).. then choose difficulty - easy, normal, expert, pro..

Then you just select what songs, and which instrument you wanna play..in easy gameplay you just press any button according to the beat shown but normal you have to press certain button according to what is shown - like up, down, A, B, X, Y etc

OMG ! GUITAR ROCK TOUR is so hard in hard mode for drums BUT it is so nice to Play

I thought so too at first, but once you get the hang of the drums control, it's much easier than you think but very tiring on the hands, lol my poor touchscreen being abused by rhythm games lol but I've completed the hard drums mode hehe
