But now they look like this:-

These are the American PSN cards, to be used ONLY on US PSN, valued at USD20 and USD50. Works just like the Wii Points card or the Xbox Live cards, scratch and redeem.

I may be able to get some, so if anyone's interested, holler.

You might be able to get some? How come?
Where are they actually selling it in the states? 7-Eleven? Wallmart? K-Mart? Or game shops?

For some weird reason, these cards are only available to stores around the Great Lakes area.

I'm getting 2x50dollars cards myself. With Square Enix's recent commitment to PSN, I'm hoping they would expand their offering to include Chrono Trigger, Parasite Eve or Vagrant Story. In the meantime, Xenogears and Einhander will be fine.

Purchase over the counter depends on the state tax on where these cards are located.

I'm still in the process of confirming these cards are still available at those stores im looking at. They fly off the shelves fast!

Great to hear you can find them in the states...even a few podcasts said they are hard to find...

Though I'm wondering why are you guys buying it if we can always use the AMBank NextG prepaid card to register and just debit it from the account like what a few of us is doing here...

If you guys like collecting the cards then I understand.

p/s: I've successfully registered and used the NexG card as three PSN stores (HK, SG and US)...so may you can give it a try.

p/p/s: Bro String, Mind bringing back me Rockband Bundle? The are selling it at cut throat prices here in MY... RM800++....

USD 169 + 8% Tax with 3.25 as FX is still less than RM600... smile.gif

Update on the PSN cards:-

Tax and my contact wants to make some money out of this venture, so I'm not sure if this is lucrative or viable anymore. For example, a USD20 PSN card now comes up to USD30+ if you want to get it from him. Transmission is via email so no shipping fee is accounted into that price, so you can do the math how much he wants to get out of this.

I will leave this thread as it is, should anyone is still interested after this disappointing news.

To the question of what is the purpose of this PSN card, some content on PSN are purchase-only. SO you need these cards to buy content. Otherwise, you can register in your credit card into the system, but there are reluctant parties in regard to submitting their sensitive data onto the ether.

Dude, may I recommend something?
Try AmBank NextG credit card (not sure if its a credit card or a debit card). And use that to create an account with Entropay. wink.gif

NextG is a Debit card...so anyone over 18 can use the card.....no need for min salary...only use what you deposit into the account

Why would you use it to create an entropay account? I used it directly and no middleman charge at all...

Now if only I can use it on Jap PSN...right now the card only works on US, SG and HK store for me.

Owh, meaning it works on US PSN Store? I haven't tried it yet. Just read some beginners' FAQs.
