Greetings all,  I have some question here.

May i know how do i get more info about syllabus changes up to date for certain papers ?
1 ) Read the magazine
2 ) Ask lecturer ( Lecturer also read the magazine to know the news right ? )
3 ) Any other ways ?

Plan to do self study for failed papers. But need to keep up to date if there're changes in syllabus and whether the previous notes still reliable or not. Studying in Penang currently. Read thru 17 pages quick earlier about this ACCA thread but its all comments about KL whereabouts good lecturer and college. Will continue reading later when free.
Any reply(s) to my question will be much appreaciated. Thanks

did any1 managed to pay ACCA fee these few days?

i have been trying to use Direct Access to pay, but failed.

Remember that to qualify for the OBU, you need to pass f4 prior to attempting any paper of f7, f8 , f9. Means you need to clear f4 before passing any one of paper f7, f8, f9. If lets say u passed f7, but failed f4, you can no longer take OBU at all forever, do u get it?

Oh, in the event u fail, I believe ur transcript will show the fail status for that particular subject. Employers normally will request for a copy of ur transcript, so say u passed F4,F5, and failed F6, they will know right?

Oh cert will only show u passed, but for every exam sitting, u will receive a transcript of ur marks for the papers u sit that particular sitting. However, as far as I know, the interviews which ive gone to, I had to provide my ACCA marks to them. But if u have good marks, then don't have to wait for their request, just disclose it for higher chance of getting the interview.

should i work part time and go for acca part time?

That depends on 2 major factor :
1) The type of company you are working with
2) Your capability to effectively manage to balance your work with studies.

If you are working with large firms especially dealing with accountancy / tax / finance / audit line they will be more lenient & helpful in accomodating with your studies. If i am not mistaken firms like PWc & BDO encourage such employees by letting them to go back early for classes.
Some company may be less understanding so you may burnout from work overload if such circumstances arises & you may find study a lot more difficult.

Many find it very difficult to juggle their life between work & studies (unless the job is very stress free). Not one i heard that study-work part time did not struggle with their studies. Eventually you will hear many people will start to blame something for their failure in thier exam. If they cannot blame their lecturer then they will use working status as an excuse.

You can definitely choose this route but it is very long & demanding.

Hey! Im studying in Sunway now, CAT>ACCA course too. The cost will not reach more than 45k if you're not staying in the hostel. Anyway, it's just my 2nd week xD. come join! BTW i got 10A2B too! CAT costs about 10k+. Yeah you can get a loan. Though, try to aim for their World prizes and you'll get full tuition fee waiver for ACCA. That's what they told me.

i think is normal to feel stress when u are studying acca...and any girls who wants to loose weight also can join acca..very effective!
