Ok here's my match report according to my view for team Wannabe A

Team members:-
1)Wai Loong
2)Ming Yang
3)Jien Hui (GK)
4)Poh Wee
5)Chin Zen
6)Andrew (Sub)

Few highlights during the group matches
Match1 (Wannabe A vs Tai Bee FC)
Arguablly the best match of the day that team wanna played. Their opponent is apparently Ming Yang cousin's team
Wai Loong is on form scoring a hattrick with Chin Zen tapping another in making it the score 4-1. Wannabes won
this without a problem and their level of playing is certainly higher level that their opponent. Sweet revenge.

Match 3 (Wannabe A vs One Love FC)
Going into this match team wannabe had already won 2 matches already. And facing their seniors is no easy task.
One Love FC took the lead early in the match with a well scored goal and hence leaving team wannabes with a daunting
task to find their equalising goal. Finally team wannabe got their equaliser right before the final whistle drawing this match 1-1.

Match 4 (Wannabe A vs Wannabe B)
It is unfortunate for us to be drawn in the same team and to play against each other. We decided to treat this game as a practice
game to minimise injuries but accidents do happen i injured my last finger =( during the game. Wannabe A win this game with
a score of 3-1.

Other matches in the group
Other 4 matches in the group was won quite comfortable without a problem as team wannabe showed they have the capability to go all
the way to win this tourney. I was confident the way they played with high spirits but was worried with few injuries in the team.
Team wannabe qualified to the quarterfinal match finishing second in the group with a record of 6 wins and 1 draw only losing by
goal difference. Hence they will face group A 3rd place team in order to qualify to the semis

Quarter final match (Wannabe A vs Soccerities FC)
This match was the most exciting match of the day for me. I recalled people watching this game behind talking about this game is
like "Chelsea vs Man U". Passes, defending and tackles is often seen in the game either to prevent the opponent scoring goals or
to score goals. Team Soccerities FC took the lead quite early in the match with a defensive mistake by team wannabe. After the 1st goal
team wannabe was under heavy pressure to equalise as team soccerities began to play defending football putting in more tackles, pressuring
and marking heavily to prevent the equaliser. The constant tackles backfired against team soccerites as a free kick is given to team wannabe
well into the 2nd half. Initially i thought it was Poh Wee will be taking the free kick but Chin Zen step up and scored the curling free kick in the
top corner of the goal to equalise for team wannabe firing the spirits up to find the winning goal. However the matches ended 1-1 taking it
into penalties. Wai Loong and Poh Wee scored the first 2 but Chin Zen missed the 3rd hence team soccerities won the game in penalties =(

My final say
I truly believe they will be able to win the tourney. Considering the amount of practice that Wannabe A had put in before the tourney
it is considered to be a very good achievement already. I felt sorry for Chin Zen for missing the final penalty. Note that the amount pressure on
him and the team will not even advance to the penalty stage if not for his free kick goal. Anyways good job to everyone for participating
in the tourney!

PS: The above report is based on what i recall and remembered during the match and it is based on my personal opinion. No offense to ppl
that i have offended notworthy.gif

yes our penalty nightmare lol...yeah u have to play 7 games and only the top 4 teams qualify to the quaterfinal round that that's kinda tiring...1 game is 14 minute and the resting time before another game is 14 minute..

Good job guys! Unlucky to miss the penalty. I hate penalty shoot-outs. So much preassure and it can mess with ur minds.
Keep up the good work and train harder. Cant wait 2 get back and play with u guys.
Am training 2 play upfront here in Sheffield. Still not used being preassured when i have the ball haha.
Thx 4 the report, was interesting 2 read tongue.gif

but u guys performed really well without a full team...
who knows wat the results will be if there's malcolm and me there......
results wise..i cant predict....
but malcolm and i definitely can help in saving everyone's stamina man....
u guys only have 1 substitute!...of course not enough to compete all the way to the finals la..
u guys need to continue playing even with injuries....hahaha....
really wish i can join man.....been a long time since we really really play as a team against a serious team....i think it was 2 years ago...
the first team players are always separated in our sessions....so we've lose all the understanding and teamwork.....
anyway...i'm going back malaysia for chinese new year....until feb 17....
lets try join a competition during that time ya? haha...
