i really like mr big especially gilbert era..dis is all bcos of their hard rock edge yet poppy approach..songs like green tinted sixties mind,stay together hav that "poppish shred" sense to me..so i wanna know other bands with similar strong structure-shreddish guitar with singalong happy tunes...even some of pg's solo works sounds "poppish shred" to me...so what do u guys suggest?really a huge fan of pg here

for a start u can try one of mr big's vox solo albums especially "i'm goin sane"...that album is as strong as anything mr big has ever done.
then of cos theres van halen and marvelous 3.

yeah eric martin..the mr big voc..his voice is very good..really like that type of singing..but i never find his solo songs poppish shreddish..like gilbert's girl crazy(nice shred song with pop melody)..and i like sumthing like nothing but love..damn melodic..
